Autobahn Motor Company (Permanently Closed)

Total cowboys, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I bought a Mercedes from that cut out while driving on test drive, dealer promised to fix it before i agreed to buy it. When i collected car around a week later with my 4 year old son it cut out on motorway, I barely manged to pull into side of road. I called them and was told to take to a local garage for repair and they would cover it.
When i took to my local garage we found out they had removed the air filter to try stop it cutting out. My local garage repaired mass air flow metre which Autbahn did repair, however after this repair it still cut out. I called hem and they said put it back to my local garage and they would cover it. I did this and they then refused to pay. I went to the financial ombudsmen who forced them to pay.

I read the reviews on this company before going out to buy a car from them and was obviously a little bit worried but once I spoke to the owner I realised that there was no reason to worry. Got there and the salesman was more than helpful, he left me alone and gave me time to make my own mind up without any pressure. I took the car for a test drive myself and was told I could take as long as I wanted. Decided to buy the car and to be honest because it was 10 years old with 100000 miles on the clock I wasn't expecting much but I got a really good deal and the car has been reliable so far. I asked the owner about the bad reviews and he said that he has sold over 1000 cars in the past 15 years and has always tried to keep cutomers happy for repeat business but some people you simply can not please. I would highly recommend this garage to anyone who is looking for a decent second hand car.
