Avalon is a local, family run Hair and Beauty Salon where you can enjoy a full range of professional Hair and Beauty services in a welcoming and friendly environment.

Our team consists of:

Jackie Den Heijer - Owner and Stylist. Jackie also offers a full selection of beauty & make-up services. She is the current title holder of "Scottish Colour Technician of the year" and also offers advanced skills in all aspects of cutting and gents hair. Jackie is currently adding session work to her list of services.

Ian Den Heijer - Owner and Stylist. Ian has recently obtained his level 2 Hairdressing qualification and is working on building his client base. Ian has a keen eye for detail and is very much the perfectionist.

Carol Young - Owner and Stylist. Carol has over 40 years plus experience in the industry and covers all aspects of hairdressing. She is our resident perming expert and holds an extensive client base. Her passion and attention to detail is the reason she often has a waiting list for appointments.

Vanda Brown - Stylist. Vanda is fully qualified and experienced in all aspects of Hairdressing and is also a qualified spray tan therapist. Vanda is a very gifted stylist and is able to acheive the perfect style to suit her clients needs.

Elaine Boyce - Trainee Stylist and Assistant. Elaine is currently working towards her level 3 qualification in Hairdressing having completed her level 2 in January 2017 and continues to show an exciting level of skill and expertise. She is also now ready to start building her client base in preperation for her final qualification ending next year.

Avalon was established in September 2013 and can offer you everything you would expect from a Hair and Beauty Salon and much more. Being awarded 4 prestigious awards, Hair salon of the year 2014 and again in 2015 along with Hair and Beauty Salon of the year 2016 and Jackie's Colour Technician of the Year 2016 confirmed to us all that making your experience at Avalon that little bit extra special did not go unnoticed. The recognition from our clients and our industry was massively rewarding and we cannot thank everyone enough!
