💔 With a very heavy heart i will be paying tribute to our True Legend of Scotland, and a Pioneer of the Music Industry, 'Vipen #DjVipsKumar', on my Drive Time Show today, Wednesday 9th January, at 5.30pm, on Awaz FM 107.2 🎧 Three Members of his Team from VIP Entertainment/VIP Record Label will be joining me to pay homage to his achievements in work and life. Thank you to Ryan Singh, DJ Kunal and Aasim Sajid. 🎤 Together we will also be reflecting on his true love of music..., dedication and support to the music industry, and positive teamwork that has led to the success of his outstanding career. ❤ Since the tragic news of his sudden death at the age of only 58, we have all seen across social media and heard on other Radio Stations how he has touched many people's hearts and supported an array of Artists to help fulfil their dreams. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 He was also a wonderful Father of three children, a loving husband and a loyal friend. 🙏 Please pray for his family at this very difficult time. *Wonderful news from Pakistan - Three historical gurdwaras to be restored and preserved in Jehlum. (Not Destroyed and Rebuilt).*
The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) will provide technical expertise for the rehabilitation of at least three sacred sites of the Sikh community in Jhelum district.
The sites include Gurdwara Bhai Karam Singh in Jhelum city, Gurdwara Choa Sahib and Janam Asthan Mata Sahib Kaur located within the limits of the historical Rohtas Fort near Dina....
Kamran Lashari, the director general of WCLA, along with Conservation Director Najamul Saqib inspected these sites on Tuesday where Jhelum Deputy Commissioner (DC) Saif Anwar Jappa briefed them about the background of these places.
Talking to Dawn, the DC said that rehabilitation of these sites was the need of the hour for which the administration had launched practical work as per the directions of federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry.
He added that the WCLA experts would study the project, including the estimated cost as well as its feasibility, after which the government would be requested for the required funds. The authority would send a team of experts for a tour of Jhelum next week, he added.
Earlier, talking to senior officials of the district administration, Mr. Lashari said that the Bhai Karam Singh Gurdwara would be rehabilitated to its genuine form with the help of old photographs, maps, and building designs, and a museum on the Lok Virsa model as well as a book center and restaurants established.
The gurdwara would become a tourist site as well as an attraction for the Sikh community from around the world, he added.
Later, the WCLA delegation visited the Rohtas Fort and inspected the Gurdwara Choa Sahib and Janam Asthan Mata Sahib Kaur and directed the local administration to restore these sites. Published in Dawn, January 2nd, 2019

It was really nice to meet Ambreen Shoaib presenter at Awaz radio this morning. Thank you for making us feel welcome.

I was yesterday on Tahir Dar's programme Dil ki Batein. It was fabulious live show on the earth. The show was orchested and conducted very professinaly by Tahir Dar. The feed backs from the listeners never stooped during two hours programme.

I remember the early days of AwazFm when the live programme started broadcasting from one of the upper flats in Pollokshield's.

Everyone in AwazFm had spirits, efforts and dedication to carry on the mission of Asian Radio to be established.

I was the part of Urdu news section. I had edited and presented the Urdu news in a very limited resources. There was no internet and print media at all. It will be very interesting that the first Urdu news was gone on air on Awaz Fm in Scotland.

What a fantastic station with great facilities and a great welcoming feel by staff for vistors and presenters. I am currently a radio presenter in a commuinty radio station in Cumbernauld and I would like to see us following in the footsteps of Awaz FM.



I am a fan of Nusrat Fateh Ali.Khan and I have a passion for listening to different music from different cultures. Awaz FM has helped to continue this.



I have always belived radio should educate listeners and Awaz FM does exactly that.



I would recommend anybody to tune in or visit there studios as you will not be disapointed.
