Comedian and broadcaster Susan Calman brings all the joy to Aye Write! this September with her new book, Sunny Side Up.
It's a quick-stepping welcome back for Susan Calman who danced her way across our screens and into our hearts for 10 weeks on Strictly Come Dancing, but how did this ability to find joy change her life?
... Susan Calman's enthusiasm at being on Strictly was an inspiration to all of us. Cheer Up Love, Susan's first book, had a clear aim: to help people understand depression. Her new book Sunny Side Up has a similarly clear path: to persuade people to be kinder to each other and spread more joy.

Born in Dublin and raised in West Cork, Norton now lives in London. His debut novel, Holding, was a commercial and critical success, winning Norton the Irish Independent Popular Fiction award at the Bord Gáis Irish Book Awards. His new novel, A Keeper, is a twisted tale of secrets and ill-fated loves that once again demonstrates Norton's understanding of human nature and all its... darkest flaws.
One of the UK's best loved broadcasters, Norton has won no less than eight BAFTA awards. He continues to present The Graham Norton Show on BBC1, a weekly show on BBC Radio 2, and writes a column for The Telegraph.

Two events visited - Saturday 12 March 2016 Joan Bakewell and her awe inspiring memoir Stop the Clocks. Sunday 13 March 2016 Amy Liptrot and her brilliant page turner The Outrun. Both books I would recommend for different reasons - Joan Bakewell's because it spans 8 decades of experiences and Amy Liptrot's because it takes the reader on a brilliantly paced never dull journey from London to Orkney and beyond. Both very different but thoroughly recommended.
This was my first time attending (I went to see Mark Billingham) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I regret not buying tickets for other events.
My class and myself had a brilliant and thoroughly entertaining time today when we went along to Pamela Butchart. Not only are her books great but she displayed genuine interest in the children and made them part of the event.
John kirks effervescent personality!brought the magical 'Twits' to life & transported me back 38 years!loved every min!so did nonna,my little girl & her wee pal!john kirk(who clearly hasnt grown up)U rock!!� didnt even mind being soaked � & great rendition of 100 mile an hr dog..
I am very happy why I am looking for T T T A lamfine
Brilliant talks including Angus Roxburgh Moscow Calling and Henry Hemming on M:MI5s Greatest Spymaster....both very topical as it happens, but fascinating ! Books piled at side of bed to read !!!
