Ayr Fort Players Description

From humble beginnings in a school classroom to the bright lights of the stage- Ayr Fort Players have become a theatrical staple, entertaining audiences across South West Scotland, since 1946.

Over the years the Ayr Fort Players have built a reputation for entertaining the public with classic farces and modern dramas including; 'See How They Run'​, 'Move Over Mrs Markham'​, 'Noises Off'​, 'No Sex Please We're British'​, 'Stepping Out'​ & 'The Ladykillers'​; Scottish comedy classics; 'The Steamie'​ (Tony Roper) & 'Whisky Galore'​ and stage productions of popular TV sitcoms 'Fawlty Towers'​, 'Dad's Army'​, 'The Vicar of Dibley'​.

Ayr Fort Players are currently in rehearsal for the Scottish amateur premiere of Bob Black's classic BBC sitcom 'City Lights - The Life & Death of Willie Melvin'​ which runs from 22nd-25th of March at The Gaiety.
