Referred by GP yesterday to the new medical assessment centre. The staff were all extremely helpful and efficient. The new equipment is superb. I was out within 4 hours and given medication after x-rays and two doctor consultations. Very happy with the service.

Went in there last night, doctor was horroble and rude. Hopefully never see her again this Old woman with grey hair looks like a man. Nurses much better and friendly than doctor.

Attended for appointment today. Clinic appeared very understaffed, also clinic staff seemed different.....not the usual cheery, pleasant staff. I felt I was a bother and that my treatment was rushed. Whereas before I would have happily given staff five stars, I felt treatment today was well below standard expected. Bare minimum springs to mind.

I have often had to go to Ayr hospital to clinics, as an inpatient and all I can say is it is a brilliant hospital. Staff are all so very nice, I can honestly say I have never been treated so well, Thank you to all the staff.

Waiting for my surgery to receive a letter to renew my eye drop prescription takes far too long.

Bruce Suite for kidney stones removal, most staff were first class, sent home same night without anything to eat and using own painkillers. Brought back 5 days later in horrendous pain and vomiting, ambulance staff were brilliant, was given anti sickness and morphine injections. Admitted to station 4 where staff were great only they didn't seem to have any authority on giving pain relief, seen patients there including myself doubled up in agony for hours before the ok was given (sometimes) to administer pain relief. Forget about morphine that's like gold dust here. A review on how and when to dispense morphine etc is badly needed. People keep returning again and again as their pain is not dealt with. People in severe pain take much longer to heal. Its normal practice in other hospitals I've been in when a patient is in real pain, to be given a morphine injection every 4-6hrs and liquid morphine in between. Unfortunately at Ayr Hospital this is not the case!
