Best Indian restaurant we've ever been to. 6 of us out for Meal, can't fault service best Indian food we have ever had. Sunny brilliant best waiter we have ever had. Just Fab, give it a try u won't b disappointed

My wife and I came to Ayr India for the 3rd or 4th time. They have never disappointed us. The food was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special. It was a wonderful memory for our 23rd wedding anniversary.

I came on a business trip from the US, stayed in a hotel nearby and was glad to find this little gem close-by. The food and service is of top quality, my coworker and I ate here at least 4 times during our two week stay, each time we enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes. If I came here again I will definitely visit them again.

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and great staff

There are two restaurants called Ayr India in the town. The one this review refers to is located in Alloway Place, Ayr. The food was excellent on both occasions I have visited and have no complaints on that score. However the service on both visits has left a lot to be desired. On my first visit, the waiters harassed us throughout our meal asking if we'd like another drink when we'd barely stated the one we had and the wanting to know if the food was OK 3 times within 5 minutes. It got to the point where we had to politely tell them to leave us alone. On our most recent visit, my wife and I were part of a large party celebrating a birthday. The service was farcical as the waiter stood at one of end of the table and demanded that everyone call out their order. This required those furthest away from him to shout out their choices several times as the restaurant was now quite lively. On suggesting that it would be easier to move down the table to take the order the waiter replied "Ths is the way I do it". When the meal was served, some of the naan breads were placed randomly down the centre of the table, nowhere near the people who had ordered them. One meal was served almost 10 minutes after the others. Unfortunately it was our guest of honour who had to wait.
