Which legendary racehorse and winner of 18 of his 24 races including nine Grade 1s won the bumper at the Coral Scottish Grand National at Ayr in 2010?
He is pictured here on that day at Ayr and his subsequent victories include two Queen Mother Champion Chases at Cheltenham, a Tingle Creek Chase at Sandown and the Clarence House Chase at Ascot.
This great horse was retired in 2016 but who is he?

its was soo good and the food i will go bk next time
Was there for the first New Year race and loved it.Friendly staff and i had a scotch pie and it was delicious!!The atmosphere inside was as good as outside !!
It’s a great day out great atmosphere for the national. Yeh and a couple of winners helps .
I thoroughly enjoyed our works night out at the Race Course in the Princess Suite. The night went like clockwork, meal was lovely and disco played a wide variety of good music to keep us dancing all night. Have never been disappointed with any nights out at the race course
I love a day at the races, it’s got a great atmosphere. Always a great day out, even with no winners 😁
Had a fabulous day and yes I know over priced burgers but same everywhere. Had a few wins which made the day brill. This was me and my hubbys birthday weekend and it was brill with our friends .
Great day out. Very friendly course
Fantastic hospitality at the weekend - fabulous food & drink, wonderful facilities and great fun. Well done Ayr Racecourse, our first visit but we will definately be returning!
Very friendly staff apart from the initial point of contact on the way in. I'm sure she's a lovely lady deep down, but has an unfortunate lack of personality, despite the best efforts of other staff to encourage her! Weird rule requiring senior citizens to book tickets a week in advance seems inexplicable. Bar staff, led by the very friendly Bar Manager, are excellent. Agree with other comments about the dodgy oncourse bookies who make up the rules as they go along. Have complained in the past, but to no avail. Always a great day out and will definitely be back!
Had a great day again no winners but the sun shone , staff in the Be Friendly bar mostly good ,toilets kept spotless by the two lovely ladies ,hope to be back next year .
Excellent day out, was in the Roman Warrior suite, very good time had, food good service good, all good really
Enjoyed our day out in the 'cheap seats' but the food was dire. More choices of beer on tap would be good, as Tennants isn't great.
A very subdued day in mid January , paying customers are scarce!! Racing wasn't bad to be fair, as much as Ayr has changed on the inside a lot in recent times, the stands on the outside are looking tired and need a face lift, the main entrance may have looked Grand in its day but it's almost defunct apart from the big days I assume , foodwise it's very adequate , , baguettes looked nice but lacked moisture on the inside , this a salad baguette be as dry as the firm ground in the summer, however pleasant surrounding in the main stand , warm and very comfortable, a glamorous makeshift betting shop /Pub/ Cafe with tv screens by plentiful fill the eye, the track isn't what it used to be , Ayr fences used to take jumping , but these portable modern dandy brush type which now fill our jump tracks detract from the spectacle ! It's a course I refused to go back to due to politics , but it's slowly winning me back , mind you it's only one visit per year, it promotes itself for the big days, but other bread and butter fixtures are left wanting!! On my visit I wondered if the wage bill would warrant opening the gates!!
Racing was good , but selection of food on offer was not good , had to settle for a a cold bland rubbery burger , and for 5 pound was the worst I have ever eaten , it was disgusting
Excellent weather for racing, but £20 entry for average racecard is tooo expensive, plus u can't take food or drink into the track, you can at Perth, and recently at Haydock we took food in. So u expect decent fare not to mention staff who have a clue about what food they have or in pouring drinks, so its not as if they were playing double time for obviously untrained staff, ayr races website lists itself as a grade 1 racetrack and a 5 star visit Scotland location, on yesterdays evidence, whoever did the reviews either was wearing blinkers, or one of those hoods before they put a horse in the stalls!!
A really good day, however far too many tickets sold for the club and not enough tables , chairs and ice buckets. £45 a ticket for a lot of people to sit on the grass drinking warm champagne..!!! Other courses put the customer first and ensure they can cope with the demand.
Fantastic day at gold cup sunshine was a bonus more variety snacks be nice like churro or strawberries and cream etc all chip and burger vans
Terrible course for punters because they constantly allow late withdrawals that cost customers money. BHA should be stopping this, but do nothing.
How about launching the reasons why so many horses have been removed this evening at short notice? Limit place markets and rule 4 deductions are killing racing, and tracks seem more interested in pushing bands and events. SMH
