About Ayr Sea Cadets

Welcome to Ayr Sea Cadets. We are based within the TA Centre, Seaforth Road Ayr.

We parade on a Monday and Thursday between 1900 hrs to 2130 hrs.

Ayr Sea Cadets Description

Established in 1856 the Sea Cadets were created by communities wanting to give young people instruction on a naval theme. Traditionally old seafarers provided training while local businessmen funded the unit building.

Today, 14, 000 young people based in 400 units in towns, cities and ports across the UK are challenging themselves and developing new skills, like sailing, boating and rock climbing - supported by 9, 000 volunteers.

Ayr Sea Cadets - Royal Navy Parade
On the 2nd of May 2019, Ayr sea cadets had their Two yearly Royal Navy Parade / Inspection.
During the evening the cadets where inspected by our Area Officer and District Officer, they carried out a very entertaining and informative evolution and the evening was rounded off with our annual awards.
... Many Thanks to James Morland Photography for these stunning photos from the evening.
BZ T.S Mountbatten on a job well done.

It's always a pleasure to get a visit from one of our previous cadets. Matthew took time out from his busy career in Merchant Navy to visit his old unit. He was even presented with his keepsake sheild for Cadet of the year from 2016!

With 2018 coming to a end we look back on the last year at Ayr Sea Cadets and what a year it's been! Our cadets have achieved so much, including our first 2 leading cadets in at least 10 years! So many friendships made, lots of fun and laughter all the way! Roll on 2019 ⚓
