Ayrshire Sportsability Description
Sportsability
At Rugby Park in 2001, we met a group of children and young people with physical disabilities.
They inspired us to do something about the fact that they did not have the same opportunities as others to take part in physical activity and sport.
Aims & Objectives
Ayrshire Sportsabilitys aims are:
• To work with our partners in sports development, education and local disability sports organisations to develop local participation opportunities.
• To support education and training opportunities in the community, allowing young people to take part in mainstream sport.
• To co-ordinate and support Ayrshire - wide competitions in sport.
• To host annual Ayrshire Sportsability Festivals.
