Amazing bar with traditional music wednesday and Saturday, and nice simple rooms upstairs. Great staff. For the money you can't beat the accommodation.

Excellent atmosphere and tunes for a Saturday afternoon. Great mix of locals and well travelled visitors.

We visited Glasgow for the first time so we were looking for a typical food to eat we went to this restaurant because it was highly recommend and we love it. They have excellent food and the environment is very friendly.

'The people make the place' is never more true than at this fine little establishment. The pie was brilliant, had to rush thru en route to the airport but looking forward to returning!

Always worth a visit. Great variety of beers, wine and spirits. Excellent food both in the bar and the restaurant room.

Nice staff & out the way of Glasgow City Centre although a wee bit rough round the edges

Such a gem! A great wee pub where you can enjoy some great food, good beers and whiskies, while listening to folk musicians jam away. It feels like stepping back in time about 50 years.

User

Good pub with good beer, good service and good food. Usually a good buzz as well. A bit pricey though

User

Friday night, no loud music just a warm coal fire and great chat. Loved it

User

Good drink good food great location historic building has rooms and a beer garden and parking

User

Great beers and food in an old school atmosphere. Often live traditional music being played. Also, they do B&B

In glasgow this is one of my 3 favourite spots. Introduced to this place many years ago by a local client whom was a regular (2/3 times a week!) for lunch and also afternoon drinks ..... business was done from 12 to 5

A bottle of dry white and oysters is what to go for as a snack lunch outside. Crusty bread. Then make your way upstairs for main meal or just enjoy grazing off a few items - or just enjoy more wine

Have been downstairs, sat upstairs for dinner and outside when weather fine and have enjoyed every time. The menu has changed over the years its a more modern and traditional mix.

It tends to get full so advance reservations for the restaurant

Weekday I've found it has a larger mix of business / professionals from the area - though you can get a space without booking late lunch

Always a good atmosphere when here and when have taken out-of-town friends they have loved the feeling.
