We hope everyone is doing well at this time, and we wanted to give you an update on what the team are doing throughout this ongoing situation after some of the announcements over this weekend.
We are currently unable to offer show rounds of our wonderful venue, however for any couples who are still looking for their ideal venue, you are able to watch our virtual tour with Samantha, our wedding manager, as your host: https://vimeo.com/344341618
We are also experiencing very ...high demand and dates in late 2020, 2021 and 2022 are filling up fast so please do keep in touch if you are interested in any particular date. To avoid any disappointment and to ease your financial commitment, we are offering the opportunity to book your wedding at Bachilton Barn with only a 5% deposit.
The team are working remotely from home at the moment but as always, we are more than happy to discuss any enquiries or questions you may have at this time!

We at Bachilton Barn wanted to reach out to you all during this uncertain time to reassure you that our team understand how difficult a time this is for you with regards to your wedding.
It is our intention at this stage to keep weddings running.
In response we are adopting an approach to ensure our wedding venue is as safe as possible for both guests and our staff. We are following all the guidelines set out by the local and national health authorities. We are taking all n...ecessary preventative measures to ensure we reduce the risk of contagion and have taken additional measures for all our weddings:
• Hand sanitiser provided in addition to anti-bacterial handwashing facilities • Additional cleaning of furniture, equipment and public areas are taking place. • A non-contact policy with staff • Consideration to reduce crowded areas and create more open spaces • We kindly request that anyone with any symptoms from the bridal party or guests list do not attend, as per government guidelines and self-isolate.
Due to the uncertainty surrounding this outbreak we are offering any couples that have a wedding booked prior to the 30th June 2020 the opportunity to postpone their wedding and reschedule within the next 12 months from the 16th March, at no extra cost. We will be monitoring this offer on a weekly basis and are happy to take calls from couples that wish to discuss altering their wedding arrangements. Each wedding booking will only be given the opportunity to reschedule their wedding date once, therefore please take this in to consideration before you commit to an alternative date.
We also want to help those who may have had destination weddings booked that now cannot make it due to travel restrictions, we would be happy to discuss our current available dates and help you rebook your wedding at Bachilton Barn.
We would also highly recommend that you are in regular contact with ALL your suppliers and communicate on a regular basis during this changing time.
We will continue to review the situation and follow government guidelines and will update you on any changes immediately.

It's leap day! Did you know the tradition of women proposing on a leap year actually had it's start in Scotland? Queen Margaret was said to have passed a law in 1288 the women could only propose on the 29th of February and that if your man refused, he had to pay for a new gown, a gift or a fine!
If any of you ladies do decide to take the leap this year, we would love to hear about it!
