Great room, great location, shocking wifi.
Reasonable prices, quite rooms and cosy old place. Breakfast is very bad!
We had a fantastic stay here. The building is absolutely beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helped us print out boarding passes, rooms were very big, clean and with good amenities. The location was good, away from the hustle of the Old Town area but still only a 10min walk or very short cab ride to the main tourist area. There is also a great selection of cafes and restaurants nearby, would definitely stay here again.
Lovely rooms, spacious and immaculate. Mostly quiet only disruption was from guests upstairs. Breakfast was good. Great city centre location 5 minutes from the bus station and 10 from Waverley. Staff allowed us to leave luggage at reception free of charge. Most of the staff are polite bit some are quite abrupt.
Hotel met expectations. Staff were all excellent. There is a continental breakfast available and was also very good quality. The room was a good size and bed was comfy. Location is very good. The castle was 2250 steps away. This is probably the furthest place we walked to all other attractions for us were closer. There is very little parking at the hotel so we usef the omni car park. This was under 5 minutes away on foot. I Would definitely stay again. If one thing were to improve, I'd ask for some complimentary drinking water in the room.
Beautiful hotel in a very good location. It is a listed area so don't expect elevators, keep this in mind! You are in the heart of New Town walking distance of major attractions and 10 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes for the tram.
We booked this hotel in order to be near to The Edinburgh Playhouse, which is a five min walk from hotel. Impressed by ease of check in. Room lovely, very boutique like decor. Clean and comfortable bed with extra lounge chairs and sofa. No view,however, only stayed for one night so happy with room given. Parking is outside hotel and we were lucky to grab a space. Would defo recommend this hotel
Comfortable beds, good service but the hotel looks a bit rundown. The only thing going in its favour is that it is not so far from the City Centre. Came here for the Edinburgh Fringe so didn't spend much time indoors. It was a good hotel for the price.
