I live in London and every time I travel to Cambridge I visit this place for my night out. Music is awesome with a classic club vibe. Dance floor has space to actually dance and the lighting is great too. Club can get a bit heated/stuffy when full but not a big issue there. Would recommend for a good night out.

Fleek Fridays is the place to be on a friday night, i wouldn't want to be any place else All staff and bouncers are so lovely! VIP is incredible, one of the best clubs that i have been to in cambridge by far

After having a panic attack in the ladies toilets, I can’t help but give this place 5* for the way the security helped me, got me out quickly and understood that I wasn’t just a drunk mess , that I was actually having a panic attack. I don’t understand other reviews complaints about door staff, I’ve only ever had a pleasant and welcoming experience. My only criticism is that the music isn’t always the best to dance /sing to but other than that I can’t complain!

Went for a night for my partners bday to the drum and bass night all the way from Norwich, all started off well and then I went to the loo with my friend and the security knocked the door in and told me to I have to leave, they assumed I had been sick which I hadn't. I got escorted out by rude and stuck up female security I asked them to get my friends as I was alone. My parter came out and then went back in to get our friends and the male security started teasing me and telling me my boyfriend have broken up with me as I had ruined his night and then laughed in my face. For one I've never once before last night even been kicked out of any nightclub and I was absolutely appalled that I got kicked out for a pathetic reason and saw others in the club in way worse states than me. Never been treated this badly at a venue where I was happy to spend my money. Worst place. Will never go back.

There is a reason why I've only been to this club twice in my life. The first time was so bad that I never wanted to come back again, but last night I decided to give it another go in the hope that something had changed. Indeed something had changed; the club had got even worse. My main issue (and seemly many people's main issue) with the club is their APPALLING door staff. They treat their customers with no respect and behave horrifically - not professional at all. They seem to forget the fact that they are dealing with people who are encouraged to drink in the venue, but then get mad when the alcohol affects their customers... do they not realise what alcohol does? Secondly, transgenders seem not to exist in this club. I was dragged out of the club after using a female toilet (because the male toilets are not clearly signposted and are difficult to find in the dark). I was not given an opportunity to finish going to the toilet before my door was kicked in and then tried to wash my hands but was then dragged away from the sink with soap still on my hands. I was inside a cubicle with a door: I could not see anyone else, and nobody else could see me. Then I was dragged to the front door by a brute of a man, who then barked at me to stay with his colleague and not to leave the venue - not that they have the power to detain me there anyway. After waiting patiently and politely for this particular doorman to return for around 10 minutes I decided it was time for me to leave - again, this is my right, clearly they didn't want me in the venue anyway. Upon my exit I was stopped by a female doorwoman who is most probably the most unprofessional and aggressive door supervisor I have ever come across. Not letting me leave the club, she began to interrogate me about why I'd been kicked out (because we had known each other previously though I definitely do not consider her one of my friends). She was horrifically rude and spoke to me in an appalling manner and asked to see my ID. I knew full-well that my ID was in my pocket but I had absolutely no reason to give it to her, so I told her it was in my coat (which was still in the cloakroom of the venue) and gave her my ticket and she proceeded to get it for me. She would not hand me back my property after I'd asked her for it back several times (which in itself is a criminal offence). Then I asked her why I'd been kicked out... her response: 'because you're giving attitude'! At this point I could no longer take her or her colleagues seriously considering 'giving attitude' is neither a crime nor a valid reason for forcibly removing someone from a venue. After putting my coat back on it became apparent to me that she had been through my pockets in an attempt to find my ID as my possessions were not where they were before handing my coat to the cloakroom. I was also given no chance to explain myself nor any warning that I should leave the club. Clearly I don't loom like an aggressive or violent person, did the doormen really feel that threatened by me that they couldn't bear to have me in the club they're employed to work in just because I needed to relieve myself? It is clear to me that the doormen at Ballare don't listen to the law or to common sense, but to each other. If one doorman decides he doesn't like the look of somebody, they will all form a personal vendetta against you. The aggressive and violent manner in which I was treated is disgusting and Ballare can rest assured that I will be making a formal complaint based on my shocking experience of their establishment, and will take this much higher. My advice: either go to this club absolutely sober, don't drink at all lest you need to use the bathroom (god forbid!), don't make any contact with the doormen, and don't be a person who doesn't fit their idea of normal... else, avoid this horrible venue at all costs. Go to a venue that employs security staff with more than half a brain cell shared between them.

Just surreal, we arrived and felt like leaving, the security staff were busy dragging people out and we got to see 2 episodes of fighting during the 2 hours we spent there, not a very safe environment to have a few, the final chapter of our night out was a security rudely approaching our group and asking one of my friends to leave saying he was sick in the toilet, he was with us all night and we were just standing near a high table so it was a surprise for us. Having someone shouting at us "you have been asked to leave you need to go" so all of us just left with our friend, we do believe there are good professional security staff in Ballare but this guy is a complete joke

I mean, for first I spilt my drink. The girl had a massive issue with giving me another drink. I wasn't even drunk, but of course there was a massive attitude about asking whether it was ok. She argued with me for ages, could have easily said 'sorry I'll just have to check whether it's ok', wasn't even busy as the VIP area was pretty bare at half one in the morning? And the taxi drivers are so rude (fully understand this probably isn't your problem, but is effecting custom) but the staff certainly aren't the nicest of people.
