Reviews
The best currys and food on Islay.
Great atmosphere, friendly efficient service.
Bartender was kind of a dick but crazy good selection of Islay whisky at tourist prices.
Really disappointed.
This had been recommended to us as one of the best places on the island but it was actually our worst.
Menu wasn't very good at all. Limited choice, expensive and uninteresting.
Large drinks choice but the barman wasn't interested at all in either serving us or engaging at all. We were the only people in the bar at the time.....When he did get round to serving it was obviously a chore for him.
Waste of petrol getting there. Won't be back.
Great food, huge range of whiskies. Very welcoming dog.
Quiet inn with B&B rooms and chef prepared food. Friendly border collies and a three legged cat by the fire make it feel like home.
Had the lamb curry and it was definitely one of the best curries I have had. Decor is basic and service is slow but it was worth the wait. Further, the selection of whiskeys is out of this world totally a must when the on the island.
Food a bit odd with strange flavour combinations. Service by a rather sullen barman. Great selection of drinks from this pretty modern place.
Always great food and astounding selection of malts.
Top notch scotch selection. The service can be slow, like others mention, but you should plan for that. This is a small family restaurant and bar attached to a hotel. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your time here.
