Ballygrant Inn & Restaurant is a family run Inn on the Isle of Islay offering relaxed, informal accommodation, good local food and a great selection of Malt Whiskies. The Inn is situated just outside the small village of Ballygrant, 3 miles from Port Askaig ferry terminal.

The Inn is set in two and a half acres of its own grounds off the main road, with attractive kept gardens, enclosed by heather clad moor and natural woodlands. Bunnahabhain and Caol Ila Distilleries are nearby for the Malt Whisky enthusiast. There are seven lochs within the area for trout fishing and opportunities for walking abound. The archaeological site of Finlaggan, where the Lord of the Isles ruled the western seaboard of Scotland for some 500 years is also nearby. The Inn is an ideal place to stay when visiting Islay.

The Inn has seven bedrooms for letting, a mix of double, twin, single and family rooms. Our restaurant overlooks the grounds of the Inn and offers the best of local and Scottish produce. Our award winning Whisky bar has a range of over 300 different Whiskies and also has a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. We also have a Whisky lounge and resident’s lounge. Both the bar and lounge have log burning stoves. Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout. The Inn offers friendly, relaxed and courteous service within cosy and comfortable surroundings.
