It is with much sadness and a heavy heart that we must announce the closure of our site from tomorrow morning. This includes Lodge accommodation, Balmaha Inn bookings and reservations for our Glamping Pods. With growing concern and government advice regarding social distancing and shielding advice, we feel that this is the most responsible thing to do as a business moving forward.
We understand that this will be an uncertain time for everyone however, our team are frantical...ly working through all reservations to contact all guests who have booked with us in the pending few weeks. It is our aim to satisfy the requirements of each and everyone of you therefore please please bear with us during this very difficult time for us.
Our phone lines continue to experience very high call volumes therefore should you receive no response from us, please email bookings@balmahalodges.com where we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. Please do not panic. We are working our way through everyone and working alongside our associated Online Travel Agents and will be in touch with you as soon as we can.

Our self-catering properties remain open as these are self-contained and may be occupied without making social contact above that which would happen in a home environment.
In the meantime, stay safe everyone and follow the guidelines issued to make sure we can all return to normal in the quickest possible timescale.

In light of the ever growing COVID-19 virus, we have now implemented our contingency plans to ensure that both our guests and staff safety remains at the top of our priority list.
Stricter and robust cleaning regimes have been instilled along with temperature checks for all guests staying over during the arrival and check-in process. This will not impede on anyone’s stay however, during check-in we do request that all guests staying with us visit the site office on arrival and not just the main booker. It is crucial that we continue to monitor this situation closely and follow all preventative measures as far as reasonably practicable.
We thank you for your co-operation in this matter. We remain open for business as normal.

Our studio loft apartment is now open for bookings! This is number 11. Studio 11 is a stand alone ground floor unit which sleeps up to 2 people, is self catering accommodation, has access to a shared jacuzzi hot tub and has air conditioning for those hot summer nights. Lodge 10 has just completed a full renovation.
This lodge can accommodate 2 sleepers and is now fully self catering along with private jacuzzi hot tub covered by wooden gazebo and surrounded by decked area. The lodge boasts dishwasher and top of the range American fridge freezer. This lodge also comes with its own private gas BBQ for those summer evenings!

We recently welcomed Christine Ferguson to the lodges for a relaxing weekend break. Christine has long been associated with us and is a very dear long time friend to Colin. Christine has a wealth of experience in Sales and Marketing with a successful background in radio and television. No doubt you will all see Christine around site from time to time whilst she assists us with up and coming marketing activity for the lodges. Christine brought along Mr Thor the Doberman. Although he is getting on in years he brought a smile to many with his old man charm!

Road restrictions will be in place from tomorrow for the next 7 days. We have been informed that the road in and out of Balmaha will be closed at certain times each day for essential maintenance works. An exceptional celebration of the life of a wonderful friend and family man; Robert Blair who sadly passed away in in December 2018. We also remember a very dear friend and much loved beautiful soul taken from us too soon; Karen McLaughlin. Both are very much in our hearts. After such a successful charity event we welcome Robert’s daughter Donna and his son Billy to Balmaha Lodges along with Jacqueline and Ronnie Doolan to help us all celebrate Roberts legacy. Karen will fore...ver live in our hearts. Our heart felt thanks will always go to Ardgowan Hospice for their unquestionable support and love to everyone during such heartbreaking times. Our support will always go to the dedicated nurses and staff who put so much of their time and care into looking after the ones in need. Lodge 5 is underway. Painting and feature wallpaper to follow soon. This is a huge property so it will take us sometime to get this all fully completed.

UPDATE
Electricity has now been restored. We apologise to our arriving guests on behalf of SSE who had to return home due to the power outage. We have been without electricity, heating and hot water along with telephone lines for nearly 6 hours.
