Balmedie Country Park

Had a great walk along the beach with my dog and daughter, I say walk we were actually blown along the beach lol. Having a hot chocolate from the bothy at the end was a welcomed treat.

I had a great time there. It was not crowded with people as it is more difficult to access this area by bus.

Ancient sand dunes, sizable enough for children to sledge down, that when you've made your way through them, you emerge onto miles of beautiful sandy beach. Gorgeous place, not much else on site, a covered viewing centre but I often found in closed, not sure when it is open. Plenty of car parking though and toilets in decent condition usually open for use.

Excellent place for picnic or long walk.
It's the spot on location if you are looking for a spot to have a picnic not too far from Aberdeen city. Appropriate place to take your children, friends and pets..

Love visiting! Dunes are stunning, great walks and wildlife. A safe enclosed play park and The Sand Bothy is fantastic too (see their website or Facebook). Great day out.

Stunning dunes for long walks. Oftain cold and windy so remember a jacket. A lot quieter than the fun beach and just as lovely.

Great clean beach and dunes. Really good for a family walk. The kids loved it. It also has a nice play area and toilets.
