BAM is building the new £4 million Glenwood Health Centre, part of the hub East Central Scotland partnership.
Bam - Glenwood Health Centre Description
The new Health Centre will provide primary and community health services for the Central and West Glenrothes area as well as some additional Glenrothes wide services.
The development will replace the current Glenwood Health Centre which provides accommodation for two GP Practices, clinics, treatment rooms and support services.
The project will include several sustainable features such as natural ventilation throughout the building, sub meters on all distribution boards, submetering for heating, low energy use light fittings internally and externally, Low or Zero Carbon (LZC) technology, photovoltaics on the main roof, and energy efficient equipment to be sourced by NHS Fife.
This is the first project to start on site with the hub East Central Scotland, a joint partnership between public and private sector organisations aimed at developing and delivering better local services across East Central Scotland.
