During the winter season we can't guarantee that we will be open on a particular day. Therefore, call us in advance (same morning is fine) to check whether we are open when you want to fish - 01506 811335. Hearty thanks to everyone at the Bangour Winter Championships today. You made it a fun day for all. Congratulations to the winners James Fairley with a fantastic 16, Colin Stewart with a solid 10, and Alex Weir catching 9 and narrowly beating Bobby Watson, also on 9, in a photo finish based on time of first fish caught. The bump memorial competition today was a triumph of angler over weather with howling cold rain and wind most of the day. Red sky in the morning anglers warning! Congratulations to Neil, Jocky, Tam and Chris who took the top four places with eight fish each - Neil taking top spot on first fish at 9:02. Thanks to all for a great day out fishing at Bangour. A good days fishing yesterday with anglers having to navigate the howling wind. It was great to see everyone still getting tight lines & catching. Here are two beauties caught early on; the first one caught on the 6th cast. Regards Karen

The run off from the storm is starting to colour up the water with clay particles after a crystal clear few months. Thanks to the Bonnyrigg guys for coming down today. Water fished well with no one blanking and more than half of the club taking their limit. Congratulations to Martin for winning the fly comp! Enjoy the photo everyone. Kindest, Karen and Jason.

Hi everyone. Fishing has been great this week with 11 degree water temperature, clouds, rain and ripple - though feels more like winter than autumn.
Congratulations to Alex Britton on catching 23 fish in his six hour session on Saturday. Thanks also to the Bonniebridge and Linlithgow Angling clubs for fishing with us this weekend. Kudos to Neil Young and Bobby Watson for 31 fish between them this Sunday morning.

What a great time we had the day me and my son Darren I got 2 nice trout lost 4 well worth the wait nice fight as well thanks again will be back soon cheers m8 really friendly place to go to if you fancy somewhere different

Well facts dont lie by far the best still water fishery! Stevie is a top guy always there to give you advice, wither you hook a 3lb or 20lb+ fish, this place never disappoints!

Superb fishery with great and well looked after amenities , owners are great people aswell �



Hard fighting fish and a multitude of species , round the banks also very well looked after , great place to be :)



2 days spent here 14 in a 6 hour session and 17 today again on a 6 hour ticket , prices are very reasonable and fish quality also very good :)

I went a couple o weeks ago cought 2 lost 1 excellent fishing as I'm a disabled fisher Karen and Jason couldn't do enough for me definitely be bk vey soon

Great place to fish, Quality fighting fish. Got some huge fish in there. Stevie the manager and owner is very friendly. Had my biggest fish from Bangour trout fishery which was a golden trout of 16lb 4oz. Love the place

Great fishery the owners are really helpful, trout are hard fighting and perfectly finned (Y)

Great days fishing at the Bangour Trout Fishery lots of fish rising took my 2 fish on dries, new management are great always ready to help with any questions about the fishery, have been going to the fishery for about 5 years, will continue doing so, keep up the good work.

Great Place !!! 2nd cast and got 2lb Blue Trout !!!

Fished Bangour fishery today with the Bathgate British Legion fishing club in very difficult conditions ( near gale force winds ) but still managed to land three fully finned hard fighting rainbows for 11 pound.Very friendly staff,excellent fishery well worth a visit will definitely be going back.

First time there today with our club great fishery enjoyed my day just a pity a found it hard going we will be back that's for sure cheers Steve

Another challenging but enjoyable C and R session today, 3 to net and dropped another 5, fishing deep. The quality of the fish is superb, hard fighting and in perfect shape. New owners doing a great job and really thinking in the right way.

An excellent well kept and well organised fishery for bank fishers with seating at each peg and net. A seat now when bank fishing is essential when one gets on in years and with each platform covered with artificial grass it makes it very safe for walking.

4 years since I last left a review on this place and it still doesn't disappoint, Good to see even with a change of owners that it's still an immaculate picturesque fishery stocked full of hard fighting fish. I don't doubt that standard will ever drop

I think the best looking fishery iv fished , beautiful location , well presented , trees and bushes cut back to have a good cast , cracking fighting fish although never caught anything bigger than about 3lb , I’d like to think there is bigger in there , couple that run it are enthusiastic to help . Will defiantly be back 🎣
