For months now it's been a case of, phone up get a phone back at some point from a nurse who will decide if you can see a doctor. Seems they can give you appointments but the receptionists can't. If you want to see a Dr you have to wait, ring back on a certain day, see or hear from a nurse- then see a dr (maybe). Got a referral made a few months back, by a doctor who I managed to get an appointment with via a nurse, who had given me an appointment with her saying she was sure she could deal with it- who i had phoned a week before who told me to wait till end of week to come in so could do an exam..who never did one anyway (so that was like 2 weeks wait for an appointment just to get a simple referral from a doctor!) And when i did recieve it, they had referred me to wrong clinic. So when i got there , the clinic told me to return following month. You spend your time going round in circles at this place, when you may or may not get to see a doctor and if you do well there are still no gurantees they refer you properly or that they will ever get properly staffed. They seem unable to actually provide doctors for you to see and the ones who are there are under immense pressure, you definitely feel rushed.
Good luck, especially if you have more than one condition. You will need a seperate appointment for them all even if they are linked and getting to see a doctor can take weeks! Disgraceful, is the only word for it.

Shocking service. When you call up for an appointment the reception staff ask you why you need a doctor's appointment in the first place, why should I need to tell a receptionist my personal medical conditions? Just get me a bloody appointment I don't need you to try and diagnose what's wrong with me over the phone! Then they tell you they will call you back IF they can get you an appointment so you are literally sitting waiting by the phone for them to call you back which could be anytime.

I ended up seeing a nurse who couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and wouldn't listen when I tried to tell her my symptoms. Google was far better help to me than this nurse was. Her recommendation? "Go home and take paracetomal for a couple of weeks and see if it goes away" weeks later and my symptoms are still there so I'm having to wait nearly a full month to see a proper doctor who will prescribe me the correct medication. I knew the NHS was struggling but this just takes the piss. What is my tax and National Insurance going toward?

If I was someone who was seriously ill and this was my local health centre I would be very worried if I was them. If you get fobbed off make sure you get a second opinion from a proper doctor not a nurse who is barely qualified to be a primary school nurse.

Disgraceful service

Register anywhere but here, it is an awful health centre with far too many patients and not enough doctors n staff. No disrespect to the docs and staff who do a great job, but it needs expanded with more docs and staff needed to accommodate the large numbers of patients from this over populated area. Consisting mainly of an ageing population and excess new arrivals to a once very small community.

Been trying to get an appointment since early September to see my doctor, having had a barrage of tests done. Receptionists always say there are no appointments available. Apparently, according to the receptionist, only 3 of the doctors were working during the October week. Out of... 10 perhaps? That's a disgrace.
Oh well, if I snuff it in the meantime, the pathologist will be able to diagnose why I keep keeling over & passing out.
