We booked here as part of a hen weekend on Saturday. The food was delicious & the staff were amazing, turning up the music for us, rounds of shots & even made the bride a very special sundae haha. We had 19 guests for dinner & everyone had such a great time at the restaurant. Thanks again to all the staff who were just really up for a laugh with us all!

We ate there on Saturday after a rather long absence due to family illness. When we walked in it was just like going home as we were made so welcome by Hussain and Oz and Esra. There was genuine concern as to why we had not been able to get in recently.

As always the food was superb (We had the Xmas menu this time) and the service from the staff was as ever, first class.

There is always a warm and cheery atmosphere in Bar Leo and this is a reflection on the staff, the layout of the restaurant and of course the wonderful food.

If you want to have a great meal in a great restaurant with great staff then I have no hesitation in recommending Bar Leo. But if you want to go at a peak time then it is well worth booking. Its always busy,

If you are short of time the Early Bird is a good deal and lunch is great too.

Try it. You wont be disappointed

The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to ensure our meals are everything we would expect from them. That's why we go there on a very regular basis.

Really lovely restaurant with fantastic food. Had lunch on a Sunday, group of 10, adults & children. Everyone loved their food & wine and the service was wonderful. Will definitely return the next time we visit Linlithgow.

User

Organised 59 children and 2 teachers to have their primary school leavers' meal at Bar Leo. The staff were fantastic, the food was perfect, everyone had a wonderful time. I cannot thank them enough. The children have very happy memories to keep for a lifetime.

Just an exceptional dining experience with nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend this restaurant. The food is simply Devine.

Excellent food and service as ever. We decided to go at the last minute on Saturday night after being let down elsewhere and the team fitted us in and saved our evening. Thanks guys a great meal.

Arrived too early at 17.00 for my 18.30 dinner in fact a day too early as well as I had booked the wrong day. But it was no trouble we were made to feel welcome and told we had the table for 90 mins but as it was a Saturday they were fully booked which I appreciated. I had veal marsala which was beautifully tender each morsel savored and I chose the roast potatoes which were lovely and a cauliflower cheese add on which again was terrific. My partner had the spinach and chicken fusilli which he loved I felt it had a bit to much garlic for me personally. And we shared a dish of olives. Coffee was good and i am a coffee snob and i just wished i had more space and time for some of the homemade desserts. When we come back we will try booking an overnight stay so we can have wine and liqueurs as well and have 3 courses and soak up the atmosphere. The restaurant was packed by the time we left and deservedly so. It was a pleasure.

User

Always made to feel very welcome food is really good and great wine selection really nice atmosphere good choice for special occassions

User

1st time eating here a hidden gem enjoyed the excellent food and the service was meant to be a lunch felt like a dinner looking too return to try the rest of the menu

User

Thought the food was really tasty!

A bit overkill on all the birthday celebrations.. being at least 4 that evening!!!

User

Been here a few times always loved it. However last night was a different experience. Food was great however there was a very long wait between starter and mains. Shortly after our mains we ordered more drinks and dessert. Drinks came, and a man came up to our table to tell us he needed the table back which is understandable as it was busy. But I explained we hadn’t had our desserts. He then told us “we said we’d be out by 8 and it was now half 8”. We didn’t get our main courses until 7.50, so there was no chance of being out by 8. The man slammed his hand on the table. So we cancelled our desserts paid and left. I understand that places need tables back on busy nights but I think there are ways around asking a table to drink up and go. I mean atleast let them finish their meal!

User

Has gone downhill dramatically since my last visit. Food was not good, they seem to be aiming for quantity not quality. Service poor by Italian standards, we weren’t even offered black pepper, Parmesan and were given one glass of water each. Poor and overpriced. Wine selection only good thing!
