Was in here a few days ago for some drinks and food.... it was amazing and great service, especially from Pete who took care of everything we needed and more. He recommended all of the dishes and cocktails that we had and we loved every one! I would highly recommend coming here when in the West End!

Visited here yesterday for the first time since the new refurb....the place is amazing! With it being the west end festival we decided to wander down the road a bit and glad we did. It was very busy (I think a lot of people had the same idea as us) but the staff and management were so friendly and accommodating. The food and service was fantastic! The place had a great buzz about it and we sat for a while feeling very relaxed. We had a great lunch here and I will be recommending to friends. Didn't catch a name but the blonde girl who I think is the manager was great, she checked back on us and thanked us while we were leaving, it was very busy so little touches like that are great!!

Really good ”boozy brunch” menu, waiters had a good banter with us, not rushed service, very relaxed. Loved the food and the cocktails after. Defo bringing friends here as good value for money. Excellent

My partner, baby, dog and I stopped in for a drink today and you were amazing. You made us all feel so welcome and spoiled our dog. We will definitely be back and will be recommending you to our friends with dogs and kids. So refreshing. Thanks a million.

High standard of service and quality of food was immense as usual. Menu changed no baby buns n shredded meat big disappointment as only reason for going

Family night at Soba west end and it was amazing. Food, wine and cocktails were all fantastic served by very attentive waitress. Could not fault food, service or atmosphere. Will defo eat here again. Added bonus that you can take dogs - who also get the same attention as paying customers. A well deserved 5 stars. Well done Soba 👏👏👏

Been coming to Bar Soba Byres Road for years and can’t recommend it enough, amazing food, drinks, tunes and staff. Had a great afternoon there today, absolutely heaving but all the staff with smiles on their faces and great banter. Can’t wait to spend more time here this summer, definitely a must if you’re in the area!

User

Amazing boozy brunch thanks to the server Lauren!! Xx

User

Had a meal here on Saturday, the food was lovely however the restaurant was freezing cold ! We sat with our coats on while eating which made it an uncomfortable experience. The tables beside us were the same . We did ask if heating could be turned on and member of staff said they would look into it but didn’t return.

User

Excellent food, fairly priced. Where this place lost points however, is that my partner and I wished to sit in the bar area to eat (where there was plenty of space to do so), as we had done for our first visit. After being stuck in the restaurant/kitchen area, the service was pretty slow and intermittent. For our soft drinks we ordered a can each, one of irn bru, one of 7up for which I would have been okay paying £2 a pop for if my partner's can of 7up clearly hadn't had food spilt and then dried on to it. We were both clearly dismayed by this however our server expressed no concern and took no action to resolve. Our food order was both accurate and tasty, that being said the service was poor and the can of soft drink was sticky, filthy and manky.

im a regular at bar soba and usually its really good however today I have some issues. 3 of us for the sate starter, I always get this and it always has 3 skewers however today it was 2 small skewers, not worth £5.50. I also regularly change the beef massaman to chicken as I don't eat beef. I have done it in merchant city and they gave me normal nice chicken. Today in byres road I got 2 small skewers stuck in it that they use for the starters so essentially I paid £12.00 for massaman sauce and rice. My family got the king prawn thai curry and counted 4 prawns in one and 6 in the other. The curry is £13 so really it was a disgrace The music was far to loud for a restaurant and we had to ask them to turn it down. We ordered mocktails and they were really nice and the waitress was really nice. I think the foos is really nice in Soba but today wasn't pleased with the value at all

User

Food was excellent but the service was not good.Pity.The hot water in the bathroom was cold and the hand dryer was freezing. We waited ages on the bill then for someone to bring the card machine for us to settle the bill.Staff seemed pretty disinterested.

Came here for lunch yesterday as we've only been for drinks in the city centre branch. Food arrived promptly however the only issue was my noodles were slightly greasy and the beef was quite hard to chew. Staff were very polite and friendly so we had no issues with service plus the drinks were amazing. The main thing which put us off were the flies surrounding tables which is off putting especially when you're eating. I appreciate this isn't anyones fault however we couldn't sit for an minute without trying to get rid of flies surrounding our food, hair and drinks. Not the nicest issue to deal with in an otherwise great place.

User

Spring roll starter was lovely, main course of beef teriyaki noodles was thick with grease and the beef inedible (no amount of chewing would cut through it). The Katsu burger would have been nice but it was covered in spiralised cucumber (hubby can't stand cucumber!) and even when removed I could still smell & taste the cucumber as could he. No warning on menu that it contained cucumber so that spoiled what would have been otherwise quite nice. Nice staff, nice spring rolls, but sadly main course were not enjoyable, and neither was the watching the 5 or 6 flies buzzing around the restaurant and landing on the hot plate, ours and other tables during our meal...

User

Sobs the party is over asked for 3 drinks you don’t have vodka and coke tastes like syrup gin rank and your toilets are over flowing
