I am feeling a bit sad that the first Change your Life Programme is in the final couple of weeks.
The ladies on the programme have been on such a journey, once we come to a close I will share some of the progress made.
For now, here's some snippets of what they have to say about the programme so far.
... If you are looking for a way to kickstart your health, weight loss or fitness journey in 2019 then pop your details in the form below and I will be in touch. Remember, this is an online group so you can be located anywhere to take part.
There is only 10 spaces available, and I am looking for busy ladies who want to learn more about how to exercise without spending hours on the cross trainer and how to change their eating habits without going hungry.
PROGRAMME STARTS FRIDAY 4TH JANUARY FOR 12 WEEKS. DEPOSIT OF £50 CAN BE TAKEN TO SECURE YOUR PLACE.

Doing core exercises alone is not going to reduce the size of your tum, to get a flatter tum you need to lose some body fat (be in a calorie decifit by consuming less calories and exercising more.
Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities, such as swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles are also important for athletes, such as runners, as weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance an...d injuries.
Weak core muscles can also leave you susceptible to poor posture, lower back pain and muscle injuries. Strengthening core muscles may also help improve back pain.
If you fancy strengthing your core, then book into Crackin'Core tonight at 7.30pm at Muirhead AC. Bring a mat and a light weight (5kg or less)

I don't think anyone can disagree with this! So much public money spent on post event care, and huge savings could be made. This speech has riled people due to the fact there is no further investment in prevantative care, social care or education.
So where does that leave us? Individual education and support in the workplace.
Alot of organisations are fully supportive of health and wellness, my old organisation Three UK allows everyone 2 hours a week to take part in activit...ies or education that benefits their mental or physical health. This is not the norm though.
If you or your organsiation need additional support in supporting your employees in physical or nutritional health then get in touch for initial consultion.

Where I can afford to (not very often then!) I try to do my bit, Mossgiel Family Farm provide us with gorgeous local milk, and now they deliver in glass bottles.
The milk, from Rabbie Burns farm, is tastier and creamier than most due to the way it's pasteurised.
They also keep calves to hoof longer so more humane to nursing cows and keeps those cute wee calves roaming about for longer.

This is Elaine, we've been working together just over 6 months. She has PT once a week with the lovely Kay and also tries to make 1 or 2 classes a week, she goes to another gym once, sometimes twice week and sometimes not at all. She loves to cook, she loves to socialise so doesn't place huge restrictions on herself.
She s had various ailments over the time we have been training but she shows up and we adapt exercises where we need to.
You look at this photo and see a huge ...change, she has dropped 2 dress sizes, so you assume a massive change in the scales. Well, no. Elaine has lost 7lb. Elaine is also strong AF.
Most people have an expectation of religiously losing 2 pounds a week. It isn't a rule. Some people do, some people lose more, that is often the case when people have alot of body fat to lose and come from a place of no activity and poor food choices. Most people don't religiously lose weight on the scales every week.
Weight on the scales goes down, it can stay the same, it will go up. This is why consistency is key, over a longer period of time we will see an decrease in your measurements. Your weight and weight loss progress can be affected by
Hormones Stress levels Fluid retention When you last ate When you last went to the loo Food intolerances Medication
This is why we measure clients, this is why we ask clients to have an item of clothing to try on every month or so, this is why we do progress photos. Scales are 1 single measurement of many.
Well done Elaine!
If you're interested in training at Barassie Fitness, I have a few hybrid training slots available,(Thursday early morning or Saturday morning) this is where you have 1 PT session a month, and check in online with your own measurements and weekly review, its from this information that you receive weekly advice and nutirion guidance from me.
