17 years ago today, we opened the doors to Barbarossa Restaurant and started an exciting, fun and challenging journey together. Today, we will close them together.
We need a few weeks for some much-needed family time after a special wedding, to readjust and make some changes to our business.

We had a tremendous night alongside Hi Spirits for our gin masterclass. Emily took our guests on a journey of gin including a perfect serve g and t, 4 neat samples to really experience the flavour and a cocktail to end. Thank you to everyone that came along and enjoyed the evening.
We have put a couple of gin specials on this weekend including a Bramble Royale and a French 75 using Brooklyn Gin, nice and fresh, perfect to enjoy in this sunshine.

We love this restaurant, never fails us. It is a definite favourite amongst ourselves, our friends & now our children. We've been coming here so long we're always greeted with a warm hello & smiles. Nothing is too much bother for Enzo & his staff. The food is excellent, always new stuff to try as well as firm favourites. Do yourselves a favour & visit this restaurant.

We had our daughters christening meal here. It was absolutely fantastic. The service was great considering there were 30 adults, 4 children and 4 babies! Food was delicious. We, especially, loved the private dining area as it allowed us to have our party without disturbing other diners. Barbarossa is just fantastic! Thank you.

Popped in after walking along from Hampden and couldn’t manage my normal beef stroganoff but our meal was fantastic as usual. We used to live 2 mins away and walked, but now we’re a taxi ride there but still go as a place of choice. Enzo is his usual flamboyant self and lovely Sean is brilliant. Go and enjoy this great wee spot. Cheers guys, Annie and Dougie

Here tonight for my hubby's birthday meal (1st time trying here). On arrival everyone friendly, a lovely relaxed atmosphere (piano was great) ....ordered a btl wine... delivered promptly. Ordered food. Scallops & fish cakes.... piping hot & delicious.. Main order ravioli & hubby ordered king prawn Linguine they were very fresh & flavourful. 2 Lattes & a pistachio cheesecake (for me). I ♡ cheesecake & this was amazing. Would defo recommend it & we will be back too. Thank You for a lovely dining experience.

Have been dining regularly at Barbarossa for almost 2 years and have never been disappointed! Food has always been excellent with a new specials dish to try each time. Staff are very helpful and friendly. My favourite restaurant in the south side hands down!

First time visit last night for my son's birthday. Always wanted to go and we weren't disappointed. Food was fantastic and the service was great. The owner or manager was very attentive to my elderly mum. Fantastic, cosy atmosphere with live pianist. Can't wait to go back.

Finally a real italian restaurant in Glasgow. Beautiful location and really tasty food. I will come back soon for sure

It is such a lovely family run business.vEnzo and the team are always so friendly and welcoming and their authentic Italian food is just spot on. We attended the gin masterclass last night and have to say it was fantastic. Amazing value for money and extremely well organised. Everything from the canapés to the cocktail was perfect. Thanks for a fab night. Look forward to the next event. x

Great restaurant, menu is good , tonight had their specials , pheasant salad then venison , both very tasty and very well presented , staff are great in this place , the foods great and the staff just take the experience up another notch , well worth a visit

Booked a table for 8 on Saturday but when we arrived we were told that our table was ready but not the best as in a passage way. We waited 10 minutes and givin a better one. We had drinks as we ordered a bottle wine while waiting but sat for 10 minutes without a menu and had to ask for one. We ordered and had lovely meal and even chatted with the owner. Ordered dessert. Waited 20 minutes..... then asked what was happening and the dessert turned up and the server was very apologetic and said it was on the house and would we like a drink. We declined and asked for bill and taxi. The manager returned with or bill and said or bottle of wine and dessert was on the house for our trouble. We were shocked as we still had a fine night with great food and wine. We left a big tip and will be back. Thanks Barbarossa.

Food tasty but cold starter and main course. Sent back and did get maincourse redone but bill came with a £100 overcharge ! Expensive meal for not great quality ! Do not let owner choose your wine for you ! Expensive tastes !
