Barbarossa's Barber is turning 2!! This Saturday I'm having a wee shindig starting in "The Foxy Fiddler" on Morrison Street to begin the celebrations on reaching the ripe old age of 2 years old! (officially the 16th July). I'd love it if any of my special clients would like to meet up for a drink!
It's also my (sort of) stag do as well, as it's only 2 weeks until I marry my amazing lady Vanessa.
... After reaching the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards final for Best Barbershop and me for Best Male Barber this last few weeks it seems like the right time to have a wee party!!!

Went from untamed Bear cub to indie-band frontman in no time at all. Brilliant consultation, helped me achieve exactly what I was looking for. Dougie's service and skills is even sharper than his sheers and his assion really shines. Was never really that happy coming away from a hair cut until I saw Douglas - he knows his stuff. After taking time to speak to me and discuss what I wanted he knows exactly what I needed to do to get to where I want I want to be. Shame I've moved to Leeds but will definitely fit in a stop at Barbarossa next time I'm back up!!

Walked in off the street at 6pm and Kostas could not have been more welcoming. Truly the best haircut I've ever had and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Thanks guys!

Popped in with my son (12 years) and they were absolutely lovely from the outset. More expensive than I usually pay (£28) but it’s the best haircut he’s had. We are already recommending Barbarossa to friends.

Loving the new premises....lots of natural light so perfect for barbering. After many years of wandering in the wilderness of Edinburgh's barbering scene I stumbled across Dougie just over two years ago and will never go anywhere else. The man is a top notch barber and his attention to detail is reflected in the fact you get 45 minutes of crafted skill and attention. No get them in and out fast and take their money here. Would highly recommend. Way better than the "rougher" competition and cheaper too.

I've used Dougie for years. The guy genuinely cares about giving you a great haircut. He will take time to ask you what you think and give you honest approach based on your face shape for the right type of haircut. He also will take time to speak to you and get to know you. He provides customer service of the highest quality and he also always seeks to be the top of his craft. Overall he is just a great dude, you can relax with and let him take care of business. He also spent time in creating a great shop with a really relaxed atmosphere. Cannot recommend him enough.

Fantastic barbers, shop looks great, music was good & the service was amazing. Got my hair & beard trimmed by Brett who really took time to talk through what I wanted. The cut was amazing, so happy with the end result.. this is the first time I've allowed someone to cut my beard & I wouldn't go anywhere else. �

Dougie is brilliant, friendly atmosphere, top quality products, good tunes, tea/coffee or a little beer if you're looking to properly unwind! I love this little place and cannot recommend enough that you give it a try.
