Barend Holiday Village

Really good weekend away with family staying in an eight bed lodge

This is one of my all-time favourite holiday places since I was a kid. It has lovely views, an fantastic restaurant, a marvellous beach and also have beautiful walks here. I highly recommend this holiday place for any holidaymakers.

Fantastic, relaxing holiday, and if you can get teenagers off there phones and walking along the beautiful beaches, through the wildlife infested woods, and along the stuning coastal trecks your onto a winner. had cabin overlooking the lake, breakfast on the balcony listening to the sound of birds was awesome, fantastic holiday, would recommend to anyone who fancies a destressing vacation.

Staying locally in the area on holiday, we went to Barend after being left the leaflet advertising their facilities. We thought it would be great to take our 11month old swimming. The park itself looked empty as we drove through so we thought the pool would be easy to access (its a weekday and pouring with rain!). After pulling in, we were told by the receptionist that as we were not staying in the park we couldn't use the pool. So, i ask, what is the point of leaving leaflets in other holiday accommodation if other holiday makers are not welcome? #puzzled. We went to the pool at southerness instead. Much further to go and it was absolutely packed out. Quite a bit more stressful with a baby, but we got a swim in the end.

Stayed at Green Lodge, the accommodation had been recently refurbished and was immaculate, it had everything we needed and more including good wi-fi, large sofas, spotless bathroom and very comfy beds. It was a very relaxing long weekend. We also ate at the on-site restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Amazing cabins, spectacular views, friendly staff in the bar and restaurant and an overall great holiday destination for kids and pets alike! #helmsdeep was a beautiful cabin with all amenities and more, especially the stair gates, cot and high chair

This is our 4th time to Barend. Don't change it. It's brilliant.
