Very clean and tidy. The park is great for children of all ages and the smaller ones will love the sand pit. Parking is reasonable at £3 for the day. There is a cafe on site if you don't fancy taking a picnic. Space for your picnic blanket and a few tables to sit at. A great cheap day out of your on a budget. Only recommendation is "bins" or lack of.

User

This park is a lovely escape from busy oundle! The paths are easy to walk on and wheelchair friendly as myself and a friend met a nice old couple and the gentleman was in one! We took a picnic but next time going to try the cafe as looked very nice! Great spot and despite no bins(found one in the toilets!) it was very clean and looked after! Coming back soon!

User

Such a lovely family day out. Clean, fab large park area. Take your own picnic, chairs etc. Lovely walks. Our kids and dog loved it

User

One of the 6 parks of Northamptonshire, UK and definitely my favourite one! It is a beautiful small park - most days very peaceful and serene - and the walkways lead you partly along the river and between small lakes where you can sit on a bench and watch the birdlife like nesting swans and Canada geese and other.

Barnwell Park also has one of the best play grounds for children I have seen in a long time and these days also a coffee shop.

I used to go there almost every day for 15 years for dog walks and I still would if I could. For me it was as good as 'home' :) 10/10 ☆☆☆☆☆

User

Lovely park. Not too far to walk for the littler ones, fabulous play area and lovely clean Cafe over looking the water best point was the visitor centre, so many things for the kids to do and read and loved the many worksheets the kids could take with them in their travels to help them look for and identify the array of local wildlife :-) will be back very soon.

User

Love this place, so nice to walk around and beautiful scenery. Kids also love the play park.

Would also like to say thank you to whoever found my daughters mobile phone and handed it in

User

Love this place!!!! So nice to just go and get lost in your own thoughts beautiful place and it’s an awesome place for the kids with a big adventure play ground and lots of annual events, would recommend this place everyone

User

Just wanted to say a big thank you to those that assisted me and my family yesterday following my 3 year olds fall from the top of the seesaw. Special mention as well to the Park Ranger on duty for providing medical assistance and calling for the ambulance. Was only my 2nd visit but we’ll definitely be back x

User

I love it here, always forget quite how beautiful it is, people seem to come from miles around. I do hope the parking money is kept by the park. Wildlife amazing so precious to the people of oundle and the dedicated benches prove the generations that have enjoyed it. Love it.

User

Had a lovely few hours at barnwell yesterday with the children I look after, lovely small natural play area near cafe, lovely cup of tea from there, children of all ages enjoyed big play area, made dens in the houses, crawled through the tunnel, enjoyed exploring the climbing bridges to get to slides, picnic lunch. Walk to feed ducks and swan, looked at leaves all changing colours in autumn as we walked around lake. Didn't do a pumpkin carving today in the visitor centre , all looked well planned out.

User

Great value for money - £3 parking for an entire day and no entry fee. Fantastic day out for the family - lots of trails for the kids to run around, extensive adventure play area and a nice cafe.

User

Good paths and not big enough to get lost in. Excellent placing of bench seats to sit and enjoy the view. Overspill parking could be better signed. Very busy on the Sunday we visited (2 adults + dog) so we will come again during the week next time. Great cafe with decking overlooking lake. Dogs welcomed. Well worth a visit.

User

First visit yesterday with family, grandchildren & dog we all had a lovely time including the dog who loved the open space for a dog friendly run around. I can highly recommend the cafe, the food & coffee was very nice. I will definitely be visiting again

User

Beautiful place to spend time having a stroll. Great little cafe for refreshments to keep you going. BBQ facilities and lots of places to picnic too. Loved the hides for birdwatchers, though sadly it was busy so I think the noise kept a lot of them hidden, but we did see a heron. Highly recommend.

User

Beautiful park with great facilities. 🐶🦆🐿🐾

User

A great park for family's the walks are not to long for little people a park for kids to play around and a nice little cafe to get a hot drink or snack will be going again soon

User

It's a lovely quiet place to take the kids to play and take your dog for a walk but it doesn't take long to walk round so it's no an all day thing but still a lovely place

User

I find the only thing with this park is that u pay to park etc but can't find a bin for rubbish so it means u gave to take drink cans n sticky things back in ur car which is a real pain. We visit regularly but think bins should at least be in car park or picnic areas....

User

A very pleasing place to visit not to big to become a marathon, plenty of bird life to spot and at the right time of day, you can get some great water and sunsets photos. Remember £3 to Park the car. A cafe to get a drink. Lots of dog walkers and activities for children
