About Barra Island Rnli Lifeboat
Barra Island Station was set up in 1931 and has a Severn Class Lifeboat "Edna Windsor" . It is the most westerly lifeboat station in Scotland.

Belinda & James Richardson are attempting to drive anti-clockwise around the whole of the British Isles visiting all 238 RNLI Lifeboat stations in 911hrs in their Porsche 911 to try and raise in the excess of £238 per lifeboat station (£56,644). Blessing of the Boats 2018
Took a class of young primary school children to the station where they were warmly greeted, given lots of information and had a very enjoyable tour. Many thanks to those who made it so much fun for them-Lots of future recruits amongst them!
