Who gets free treatment on the NHS?
NHS treatment is free for:
•everyone aged under 18... •those aged under 19 in full-time education •pregnant women •mothers until their baby is 12 months old •those on income related support allowance, income related job seekers allowance, income support, pension credit guaranteed credit, universal credit, child or working tax credit (paid at max rate).
Dental exams under NHS are free for everyone.
Anyone on a low income and does not recieve any of the above benefits can send away a HC1 Claim for help with health costs form. NHS Scotland will assess your circumstances and send you a certificate if you are entitled to help towards treatment costs.
