Yesterday the students had some close games of bowling. Unfortunately there were not as many strikes as they had hoped. A lot of the time there was always one pin left standing 🎳

Last week, the student of the week was Yang. He continued to improve and show a good attitude to learning since the beginning of his course. Keep up the good work, Yang.
The class of the week was the C1 class. They worked really well on group projects and activities. Worked well on using the new grammar and vocabulary they learnt throughout the week.

To end this beautiful sunny week in Edinburgh, we went for a relaxing walk around The Royal Botanic Garden.

Another great day here in Edinburgh. ☀️ So we went up Calton Hill to enjoy the weather and great views of Edinburgh, Arthur’s seat and the Firth of Forth

It was a great sunny day here in Edinburgh for our weekly walking tour. ☀️ Every Monday afternoon there is a walking tour for new students to become familiar with the city. They visit both the old and new town and learn about the history of Edinburgh.

Yesterday afternoon, the students enjoyed a whisky tasting event 🥃 They learnt about the history of whisky, how it is made and where all the different flavours come from.

The students had a brilliant time yesterday at the Edinburgh Dungeon learning about villains from the capital's past!

Congratulations to our Class of the Week, Lisa's C1 Grammar group, who have really come together as a team to support each other in their learning and completing project work to an excellent standard!
Our student of the week is Veronica who has put in a huge effort in class and has also made sure her homework has been done really well. Well done Veronica, your hard work is really paying off!

Even on a dreich day like today, Edinburgh never fails to look spectacular!
Dreich: this is an adjective used in Scotland to describe weather that is dreary and bleak, when the skies are grey and it is maybe rainy and a bit windy.

The students enjoyed the good weather by exploring Edinburgh’s Botanic Garden, this afternoon. They also had some peanuts to feed some hungry squirrels 🐿

The students just finished the afternoon playing some crazy golf 🏌️‍♀️ 🏌️ ⛳️

Last night, the students enjoyed an evening of Scottish storytelling with Alice. They learnt about why the thistle is the national flower of Scotland and heard about some of Scotland’s great myths and legends. Finishing off with some Scottish refreshments of Irn Bru and none other than haggis flavoured Crisps.
