AM totally disgusted... W e use this vet for all four of our dogs.. Our pet labrador PHOEBE started having a seizure in the back of our car, which she didnt sseem to be coming out of.... I rang this VET... spoke with the receptionist Chris,, who informed me there nothing that they could do ( i was 5 mins away from them), i asked for the vet... she put me on hold... came back and again informed that there was nothing they could do....(( meanwhile i had arrived outside the surgery) i was told to drive in peak hour traffic to davidson mainS... i again suggested that the would have some MUSCLE relaxent to administer to OUR dog... I WAs told N O.... ,W e arrived at Davidson mains 30 mins later By which time our poor dog phoebe was still having seizING.... They did all they could ... phoebe died.. I WOULD NEVER EVER VISIT THIS VET TOTALLY INCOMPATANT. I am also ,going to make a formal complaint

One of my cats, who's had epilepsy since she was two years old (now14) , so I seen a lot of vets that I felt uneasy with, always referring it mainly happening to dogs, even recommended she'd be better off put to sleep, its devastating, anyway they listen to you and deal a lot with felines and confident with them, which I haven't seen in some vets etc,
I am still with them, and trust them completely, sadly her vets retired, but Richard has been looking after her now, and now having kidney problems (old age) sadly
And it's such a relief having such good care
Its unfair the review below,
As I am sure once they took the tooth out they would've treated the others and the other thing

After reading the bad review below, I felt I had to post my opinion! I have had nothing but an amazing experience from the Newhaven practice and its staff, having recently moved into the area. A couple of weeks ago I booked my kitten in to be neutered, and when dropping him off in the morning, I was offered the Healthy Pet Club, which would save me a fortune and provide my cat with all the boosters and other care he would need on a regular basis! So saying that they are only interested in money is far from the truth. In fact, I saved £160 at least in just one visit after being informed by the helpful and cheery receptionist about what they could offer. I was then updated on how he was after the op and when picking him up, was provided with all the necessary documents and further treatments for the next month, at no extra charge and an appointment made to check up on the cat after his operation.

Having gone back this afternoon for my cats boosters (which were at no extra charge after joining the Healthy Pet Club), I was offered further advice and was met with a smile and a friendly face.

I would highly recommend this practice to anyone! Thank you for all of your help!
