A fantastic opportunity to sing in a local choir has come to Bathgate. Generation arts are looking for ex service personnel, there families and local people from Bathgate to come and join the fun and take part in choir sing there will be weekly rehearsals with professional choir master and music professionals with the aim of a show to be held in Livingston 2016. The club's annual sports day was yesterday what a fantastic turn out. I have posted pictures of the day and the winners of all the sports categories there is some pictures the quality was not good so they have not been posted. The sports categories were carpet bowls, out door bowls,golf,fishing,pool,darts,dominoes.Th e clubs sports person of the year 2015 was awarded to Derek Gauld.
Bathgate British Legion is down in Morrison supermarket. We're raising money for poppy Scotland. The support from the Morrison customers and store staff has been fantastic. The monies raised go to help service personnel and their family's in difficult times. Our military personnel are the lowest paided compared to our emergency services and they are called in when all else fails.
It was the Royal British legion Scotland Edinburgh and lothians area dinner dance last night. What a great success our visitors were very impressed with our club and our staff were outstanding delivering great customer service.
Bathgate community rememberance service will take place on Sunday the 8th November at 13.00 hrs @ the war memorial. If the weather is bad we will hold the service at St John church. If you are a ex - service person you are welcome to fall in outside the legion at 12.30 and March with the rest of the parade to the war memorial. Bathgate brass band will be holding a concert in the patterson hall in the legion playing military favorites @ 3.30 pm
I thought I would share a few photos of a recent visit to HMS Somerset this was organised by the Royal Naval Association that based in our club the visit was brilliant and the crew made us very welcome.

Hi folks New years day @ The legion 12.30 til 5.00 . We will be using wrist bans this year to control entry to the hall to make it comfortable and safe for everybody as usual a Great Day. We will be asking for a donation when handing out the wrist bans please give generously as this will be going to a local charity. The old boys will be looking forward to seeing yi there
