Promoting the role of the arts in building positive mental health and wellbeing

Bazooka Arts - Arts For Greater Health And Wellbeing Description

Bazooka Arts is an artist led charity, specialising in participatory arts for health and wellbeing. The organisation was originally founded in 2001 by Bryony Murray (Visual Artist and Designer) and Zoë Brook (Dramatherapist and Theatre Artist) as a non-profit partnership. In February this year we became a company limited by guarantee and received charitable status from OSCR.
At the heart of Bazooka Arts is an understanding of the profound effect participating in the arts can have on people’s lives. We have a person centred approach to working which is built upon principles of equality and empowerment.
