Great hotel with a tasty breakfast. Well located for shopping and eating, although a little walk to the old town

Lovely place good rooms breakfast great, staff excellent

Rooms were clean but ours on the 4th floor had zero soundproofing. We could hear everything said in neighbouring rooms and the hallway and I'm sure everyone could hear us too. The area is quiet though.

Perfect place to stay,close proximity to both old and new town and the staff couldn't have been any more helpful.

This is a beautiful place to stay. The breakfast was proper and amazing. The staff was gracious and helpful. We had a very early check-out to make a flight out . The staff helped us with scheduling a taxi and even pack my wife and I a take-away breakfast so that we wouldn't be hungry before our flight. I will always remember this place and hope to stay here every time I visit Edinburgh.

The place is beautiful. Friendly and helpful staff. The eggs Benedict is an amazing breakfast. I had it both days. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

Good location, close to the centre and restaurants. Scottish breakfast was lovely, kept us full for most of the day. Staff are lovely and as is the coffee from the machine on the 1st floor. Very cosy sitting in the library with a latte to warm up. We stayed in room 19, which has an amazing view of the castle. It is a small room but there was plenty of space for us. My only criticism would be the taps on the sink. They are so close to the back of the sink you can't get your hands under enough to really wash them. Also the water pressure is awful. I would stay again and I would recommend the hotel. It's easy to get to from the airport too. Only a 5 minute walk from the Princes Street West End stop.
