Great quiet location, the lodge is basic but we'll heated and is everything you would expect from a rural getaway. There are no shops/restaurants nearby by if you want an escape this is perfect!

We stayed in one of those hobbit pods. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Lots of cobwebs dirty windows from inside. The little garden was great with BBQ area. River running from of the hobbit pod.
Showers and toilets where very dirty.
Could be a very good place if the they spend some more time on regular cleaning.
Nice place to stay if you want to be around loch ness, fair price, close to nature
We had a 6 days road trip in Scotland, and we stayed here on the 3rd night. It was easy to find it and there was plenty of parking spaces. The room was fairly clean and spacious, and it had an en suite bathroom. When I had a shower in the morning, unfortunately there was no hot water, but according to the manager it never happened before. It's a good place overall, if you need a dry bed to sleep in the Highlands.
We would like to complain about the behaviour of Mr. Donald the owner of the BCCLoch Ness Hostel; we are two families from Italy: we decided to visit Scotland during the summer of 2016 and we reserved two triple rooms at the BCCLoch Ness hOSTEL. we contacted Mr Donald by mail during the summer . He confirmed our reservation by mail, but ON our arrival he told us that he never received a booking. He suggested not to go there but to find an accomodation in Inverness. Notwithstanding, we went there and he stubbornly denied any contact with us, giving the fault of this misunderstanding to the booking system.
This has created many problems because it was late in the evening and we were 6 people , but the worst was that he didn't show any understanding for us. We have made a written note and left it a the Tourist Office in Loch Ness. This person is reliable, don't book there!
We stayed in the camping pods/ huts. Comfy, warm all we needed for a stopover. Nice evening of beers and BBQ.
Facilities up in the main building very good for preparing a meal and sitting at a table to eat. Busy in summer.
Very friendly welcome, including a tour of the location and tips on what to see and not to see in the area. All facilities (kitchen, showers and toilets) were clean. Beautiful location next to an idyllic water stream. Ten minutes drive to Loch Ness.
Good location approx 5 miles from Loch Ness, lovely showers, friendly staff, river to play in, WiFi. A good base to explore the area.
