As many of you know I have been running a small business in Alness since 2010 with all aspects of sewing services from repairs to advanced wedding outfit alterations. I make to measure all sorts of soft furnishings like curtains, roman blinds, swags, pelmets and more.

I would like to introduce my second passion; Interior design.
I was working for over 5 years with Mme Ponette, an Interior decorator in Belgium, where I learnt a lot about interior design.
I was always taught, that to offer you full service as an Interior designer, I needed to be professionally trained in this subject. So, after two years, I have completed my study in Interior design. I am ready to help you to create your home space, suitable for your needs and lifestyle.

As an Interior designer, I was trained to think differently, spatially and see an overall picture, that clients often cannot. Not only do you get a good design sense, but you will also get attention to detail, from proper lighting and furniture placement, to fabric choices and colour palette. I will make sure that everything fits perfectly, and is truly special to your home.

The thinking is that interior design is for people who have so much money that they don’t know what to do with it all. In reality, an Interior designer can save you a great deal of time, money and headaches. I know where to go for resources for everything related to your home. This will save you an endless amount of time researching products, brands and prices.

The first initial meeting (around two hours) will be free. At the meeting I will discuss with you your requirement and ideas.
After this I will prepare for your approval the design to suits your needs, budget and taste, prepare initial sketches, advise on colour schemes, fabrics, fitting and furniture, work out costs and pepare estimates.
I can also recommend or hire people to carry out work on site, and supervise their progress.
