About Beatroute Arts

A community-led charity based in Balornock in the North East of the city of Glasgow, offering high-quality, free creative and holistic activities in order to benefit local people

Beatroute Arts Description

Beatroute Music hosts a wide range of opportunities for the young people out there and also the public. These many opportunities are available due to the building having a recording studio, and a rehearsal studio in the making, with staff already being put in place to assist the public. Beatroute Music also has staff available to teach guitar, keyboard, violin, drums, and many more. There is also alot more involved with the Arts side of Beatroute Music which is currently coming to fruition so stay in touch and find out more on that topic : ) , and last but not least we also do filming in Beatroute and the editing on this is also done in our recording studio. Thanks for visiting the page, we hope to see you soon, and please spread the word around about Beatroute (Balornock /Wallacewell Road)

We would like to introduce you to Boggy. Some of our members spotted this wee guy growing in our garden pond so decided to give him a name. Its really exciting and interesting to see the metamorphosis from tadpole to frog

Our friends at Common Wheel are holding a 10 hour Music Improvisation this coming Saturday to raise funds for the incredible work they do. See poster for details and get along to the Glasgow University Concert Hall!

We have our Allsorts in this morning taking part in a photography workshop before then taking part in some great music making. We cant wait to see their finished pictures and we love hearing their musical talents.
Also a reminder to those who attend our Take a Bow evening sessions, we are not running tonight (Tuesday 6th May)

Just a few of our Thursday night songwriters doing their thing. They will be performing some of their original songs plus a few covers at The BIG Lunch on the 25th May

Those of you who have walked past our garden recently might have noticed a new addition. After much measuring and finger crossing that the truck delivering it will fit, we have our new shipping container delivered. We will be turning into an outdoor garden workshop so that when our normal Scottish summer (rain and more rain) resumes we can keep a little bit drier when working on our green fingers.

Thank you Paul for your support and highlighting the importance of access to music and the arts for everyone.

Its a bit cold and gloomy outside today so we thought we would share something to brighten up the day.
We have begun to make plans for our Big Lunch event. Get the date in your diary and come join us in having a bite to eat and so much more

Just a quick reminder that our evening youth music groups are off for a couple of weeks during the school Easter break.
Hope you all have a great time off school.

We thought maybe since it's a rainy Friday, we'd provide some hope that Spring is nearly here! We were out in the garden again last week, getting ready for the in-coming growing season and there are signs of Spring if you know where to look....promise!

User

Thanks Ivan Mckee for coming out and visiting us last week and supporting our work in the community.

Our Tam in action at St. Catherine's Primary recently, where Beatroute delivers a whole range of music workshops during school hours. Aren't these young people doing so well?

We told you we had too much talent to pack into one night of performances and we have video proof.
Here is our concert with performers from our Monday, Wednesday and Thursday night groups. Don't forget to check out our Take a bow performance too in the post below this.
