What a great night tonight at the Race Night for Alzheimer’s Scotland. Lianne McInally’s hard work and everyones support raised over £2700 for this amazing charity! Good luck with the London Marathon in April Lianne!!!

Looking forward to the Race Night on Saturday at 7pm, Low Waters Miners Welfare Alness Street Hamilton. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored a horse, donated a raffle prize or is planning to come and take part on Saturday to raise funds for Alzheimer Scotland.

Neurologists say Dementia should be called "failure of the brain," because the other names are nebulous and do not show the severity of the disease to most people. As the patient's brain slowly dies, they change physically, lose the ability to speak, and the caregivers are often in shock, and exhausted. The day they suddenly forget ho...w to dress themselves, and become confused or combative when you try to fix the clothing they've put on backwards. When they repeatedly ask where their life-long mate is or where their children are while looking straight at them. When they are confused, angry, or frightened, it is because they are still partially aware of who they were, yet are that person no longer... Really poor response to my last advert. Let me be more specific Looking for a Carer to work part time hours and be in a position to start work on the Wishaw area at 8.30am each morning from beginning of September. Hours can be done in the morning. Pays £8.50 an hour. Full PVG and reference checks will be done and training given. PM me your email address and I’ll send an application form

We have 2 vacancies for care staff.
(1) Part time Carer required to cover care hours around Lanarkshire. Drivers essential as will be required to work at least 1 evening a week.
(2) Carer from the East Kilbride area required to work 10 hrs s week ( initially) in the EK area. This will be 2 hrs a night Monday- Friday after 9pm. Driver not essential if job can be accessed without a car but a car will be a requirement if applicant looking to pick up extra hours within the orga...nisation.
Full PVG and reference check will be carried out and induction training given to successful applicants.
