the staff is very very friendly, the drinks were delicious the atmosphere on weekends is electric and if I lived here I would be here every night like I have on vacation. it has been the best bar to go to. thank you for being in the hotel !

Staff are amazing and the atmosphere on the weekend is electric. The different Gins are a must try.

Ooh Gin, and not just 1 or 2 but lots and just as, or more importantly, staff or rather - Blenders of the craft, of what mixer is best with what if any at all...



I think this is only the beginning of a wonderful relationship with this place and long may it continue !

If I were you - don't go as you may like it!

Never been much of a ginhead but after speaking to a friendly young barman Josh and getting some tips feel like this could be the beGINing of lifelong passion.

Loved this place. 80 fabulous gins to choose from! 👍I had a coconut one and a fruity one (with cinnamon but couldn’t taste the cinnamon)which were both delicious. Going to work my way through the menu on subsequent visits.

I was here a couple of weekends ago and was so impressed with the range of gins, how they were served; from the glasses and garnishes and how the staff were well educated on the different types of cocktails and could recommend ones for us to try. Had a fab Girly catchup over los of cocktails here and will certainly be back!

BeGin has an unmatched selection of Gin in the west end, it is the place to go in Glasgow, the perfect serving option is amazing if you are new to gin. I would recommend BeGin to anyone who is looking for a start to a night out or for a few drinks with friends. Plus the staff are amazing. Will definitely be back.

An incredible selection of gins only topped by the friendly, attentive and highly knowledgeable staff (Alex deserves a particular mention). A real gem, absolutely will be going back!

Absolutely huge gin selection, the staff (Alex, Laura and Rory) made personal recommendations for every member of our group, and they got it spot on every time. The bar is gorgeous, really nice decor, and really nice vibes. Would definitely go back!

Great selection of gins if you like them and loads of cocktails, too. Staff were attentive, and the place wasn't packed even on a Friday night, so we could easily choose where to sit. The only downside is that the music was too loud. I know, it's a bar on a Friday night, but it was a real struggle to shout to the person sitting next to me, never mind over the table.

Edinburgh elderflower gin went down a retreat 👍, dj & music were fab, only thing that spoiled our night was the bar was freezing! Could be doing with turning the heating on!!!!

Nice inside, but definately not a Gin place like Gin71. Gins were nice, but service was very slow. Ordered food, which was also very slow to arrive. My burger was very dry, but falafel burger was nice. Sweet potato fries were nice but extremely salty. Staff took a deduction off the bill for the delay.

Good selection of gin, but the person that served us didn’t really like gin so had no clue what to suggest when the one I chose was out of stock. There was no atmosphere and it wasn’t particularly clean either, despite not being busy. All in all, I won’t be back. It promised much but delivered little. Oh, and the measure wasn’t washed between pours either so all the gins probably tasted the same by the end of the evening.

Went for lunch. Cocktail was ok but food was very poor. Hilton kitchen should be able to do a lot better. Won't be back.

Went for lunch and a cocktail today. The barman was v pleasant and the cocktail was good. However...... the food was poor. I had the cod goujon sandwich. The so called goujons were smaller than fish fingers and the white bread was dry. The sweet potato fries that came with them were barely warm. Coleslaw was unremarkable. I hadn’t realised that the food was so poorly cooked by the Hilton’s kitchen til afterwards - they should be ashamed. The barman apologised for the sad meal which I had mostly left and deducted it from our bill. We won’t be going back.

Shocking service! Stood at the bar for five mins to be ignored finally spoken to and told our drink would be brought to our seat. Sat and watched while the staff served other families and couples that went to the bar after us and forgot to bring our drink over. Counting now and 13 people are in the bar.... not exactly busy!!! Thanks for that.....

One of the biggest disappointments I have ever had. Took a friend for birthday treat, hoping to enjoy the gin "voyages" on the website. The staff had no clue about them, could not find a menu for them, and had no idea how to mix them. They just kept "pushing" some totally different gin flight we had never heard of and didn't like the sound of. Then suddenly, after about a minute away from our table, he returned to say he suddenly knew exactly how to mix all three gins I wanted to order. Unconvincingly. We left.
