Bell Baxter High School

This school is the best high school in Fife but that doesn't mean it's a good school while some of the teachers are excellent at helping students most of them aren't, which as you could tell if you're not as dull minded as the staff is not healthy for the school or the students going there. They talk about helping kids with bullying but they'll only go as far as telling them to apologise to one another in one instance 2 older students leave the room and almost immediately after leaving one of the students punched the other and said ''I'll give you a black eye next time you f...ing grass'' in front of several other students who i assume know them and did nothing I told the nearest teachers what happened but because I didn't know the student's names they did nothing I haven't seen those students since. The cleaners and janitors do the best they can but there aren't nearly enough of them to clean up after 1700 students and so there is gum under each and every table and the bathrooms where all the time cleaning is spent are horrific, the sheer amount of germs and bacteria is terrible for a student's health in short the school is messy, filled with bullying and overcrowded but if you live in Fife unless you want to move out Bell Baxter High School is your best option (Drops Mic)

My daughter has been bullied at this school since the day she started. We also had to get the police involved which resulted in the girl bullying my daughter being charged and now has a criminal record . I would not recommend this school to anyone and we are actually looking at getting her transfered to a different school. The reason she gets bullied is because she is a carer. She has also missed the last 9 weeks of school because she is getting viral infection after viral infection due to and these are the doctors words STRESS. No 14 year old should have to go through that. The schools answer: keep a diary of everything that happens and name names. The sooner she is away from this school the better.

my time at bell baxter was shorted lived a wasnt allowed near duffus they didnt like me talking to anyone they treated me as if i was stupid and talked to me like i was too. they didnt care about my exams or work or wherether i failed or passed. they have absolutley no respect for students and if an incident happens they would rather sweep it under the carpet than deal with it ? there are a few good teachers who can support pupils in every aspect of their life and its such a shame that the good ones are stuck in a school like this when they could be at another school actually teaching people.

kids here walk out of class and do things they shouldnt because thats what teachers do themselves. i have had several occasions where some of my classes were left without a teacher so i was unable to learn and i had waited almost a double period and it was the end of the day so i just went home. when a asked the school about it they said that i should have waited like any other "Normal" pupil. whats normal ? why should i have had to wait a whole 2 periods and be expected to stand in a hall if the school cant be bothered arranging cover teachers?

this school is a Mess Do not send you child here if possible he/she will leave with very minimal if any qaulifications and wont recieve a good enough education !!!

A school with excellent facilities though a lack of staff. Many classes are unfortunate and handed over to substitute teachers. The only thing this school cares for is getting good percentage scores; they wont take risks or push your child to exceed. The students can be horrible and generally have no care for property, this general attitude is reflected in teachers as many care little for their students education. Many brilliant teachers have fled this school the first opportunity they had or retired in the past several years. The art department is sexist a real struggle for male artists as their expression/artwork is dictated and denied. I do not fully blame anyone as Mr Black the head teacher is a bully who no one not even the staff are fond of. In all fairness I know first hand of these things as I struggled with my education due to these reasons; 2 years without a maths teacher, kicked out of art class for expressing myself, my final year without a computing teacher and not allowed to take higher English even although I had the grades to do so.

Its a mess, avoid sending your child here if able
