Anyway so now I have your attention. . .

You hear of people picking up a paint brush in later life and discovering they can paint, well I picked up a lump of sugar paste and discovered I can make it into lovely things to adorn cakes. Finding myself a creative outlet that I can make into a small business working from home could not be more perfect. Without a doubt I have found my 'something' I love and so put 100% love and passion into my every cake I make, and love getting lost in tiny detail!

I am registered with the local Environmental Health and Food Hygiene Regulations Department, which means my home has been fully checked and officially authorised for catering purpose to serve the public.
I hold a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for catering so you can be rest assured the your cakes are made in an environment using catering industry standard knowledge and procedures.
I also hold Public Liability Insurance which protects me and my business as well as my public or premises I may visit.

Q. What if I have allergies?
A. All my cakes contain gluten, eggs and milk. They are also baked in an environment where nuts are used in other products so I therefore cannot guarantee that your cake is nut free. Sorry!

Q. Will my cake be delivered or collected?
A. You are most welcome to collect your cake at an agreed time. I am also happy to deliver locally in the Whitburn area for free but operate an evening delivery service only. Outside Whitburn please contact me for delivery charges as they may vary. If I agree a delivery time then that's when I will arrive. Likewise if we agree a collection time I'd expect you to arrive at this time. I'm busy and have other things to do as I'm sure you do to. I'm happy to leave a cake with a neighbour or friend near by.
Wedding cakes require set up at your venue and as such your price will include delivery and set up at the venue. I am also insured for this purpose so peace of mind all round.

Q. How much does a cake cost?
A. My cakes start from £12 for 6 x Cupcakes and £35 upwards for celebration /designer cakes. Price depends on several factors like size, type of cake, delivery but most of all design. More complex designs take time and it's my time you pay for. Having said that there are designs to fit all budgets. Wedding cakes are a whole different ball game and require a consultation. I'm happy to arrange for a complimentary consultation by appointment, where you can sample a few popular flavours.

Q. What If I'm not happy with my cake?
A. Your happiness is very important to me. As your cake maker I will deliver a cake that you have been fully involved in. This will include a design brief either supplied by you or a cake created for you based on information you have given me. Most likely I will have either shown you pictures or a sketch based on the information supplied. Cakes should be inspected upon delivery and if you notice anything that deviates from your design brief then I want to know so I have the chance to correct this error. If the design deviates from the brief and you are not happy then the order must be returned to me and a full refund shall be issued. If you have decided to eat the cake then I will still offer a proportionate refund based on what you are able to return to me. You must bare in mind that sugar paste is a difficult medium to work with and as such is unforgiving. Therefor you can expect natural flaws on the surface of any cake but certainly not obvious damage or design errors.

Q. What if I'm happy with my cake? : -)
