THANK YOU & GOODBYE
WOW, it's been 16.5 years and quite a journey professionally and personally.
There's been a few awards! I got to meet the First Minister, The Depute First Minister and went to the Queen's Garden Party (twice!)
... I got to work in Canada (Thank you YMCA Scotland for the opportunity)
I've met some amazing people on the way, and became part of a larger 'y' family.
There's been good times, bad times and some downright hard times, but ultimately the best times! And I thank everyone who was with me through them all (you know who you are!)
I'd like to thank:
The ymca (and Colin) for taking a chance on me as a stubborn 20 year old.
YMCA Scotland for amazing support , opportunities and experiences.
My funders for giving me the money to support so many young people & trusting me to do a good job!
Our Childcare team for being my second family, and looking after my kids like they were your own....we'll carry your 2 rules wherever we go forever!
My partnership agencies for all their support.
My colleagues, staff team and volunteers for making life a little easier by being awesome 😁
And last but not least all the young people and their families...without you it wouldn't happen!

DEPUTY FIRST MINISTER VISITS
Delighted we could welcome the Deputy First Minister of Scotland and Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, John Swinney MSP, to Bellshill Academy and the ymca today.
He launched the YouthLink Scotland “Scottish Attainment Challenge Youth Work and Schools Partnership Programme.”
... The Deputy First Minister met with young people to hear about their experiences of learning in and out of school and the importance of partnership working.
