Was an Itison deal. Bottle of wine on arrival, dinner and breakfast. We spent registration in Tyndrum - checked in with no problems. Great from start to finish. Will look out for next deal

Very nice hotel, rooms comfortable, staff very polite and helpful, breakfast was plentiful. Will definitely return here excellent value for money and location good. Food in the Tyndrum inn over the road very nice too!

The Ben Doran Hotel Tyndrum is set in a beautiful location warm and friendly staff, food was plenty full, the coach tours are a must for the best views you can drive yourself but you would miss so much.

Staying 2 nights on a dinner bed and breakfast rate which was amazing value! Menu was varied and food amazing .... the lamb shank was exceptional! Wine prices less than £12 for very very nice wine and only £14 for prosecco so very reasonable! Wee singer at night too and twin room very large- will definitely be back and highly recommend

Just been here for 5 days and very happy with the hotel , the rooms were nice we got a dressing gown, slippers , small bottle of wine , shower and bath nice , beds not too uncomfortably. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. The food was nice and dining room and lounge lovely decor .

The entrainment was good some night better than others loved the Kenny Rogers look and sound alike the best. In all very impressed .

Had an amazing time at the Ben Doran hotel. We've met lovely people and made many friends. The staff at the hotel are amazing, lovely, friendly and really made us feel welcome. The food was delicious. The entertainment fantastic and Gary our coach driver was brilliant. We loved every minute of our holiday and will definitely be coming back and recommending you to our friends. Please thank everyone for us.

Thankyou so much

Despite heavy rain and gale force winds the break at the Ben Doran was wonderful. The food is excellent and the portions more than adequate for less young appetites. The way food is served so efficiently means that there is no long delay between courses which is amazing given the number of diners involved.Sadly due to a problem at home we had to leave two days early and miss some of the excursions but we got to see the fantastic Falkirk Wheel which was the main thing for me.

As other reviewers have posted it is not a relaxing break if you don't like a daily coach ride of a couple of hours. Excursions are optional not compulsory and the gardens are well worth a gentle stroll around instead.

I would definitely recommend the Highland Heritage tours and the Ben Doran as our experience was excellent and great value for money.

You wonder how you can give a budget hotel 4 stars, but you can! Pleasantly surprised how good this hotel is, the location is lovely for a start, and the reception is very plush. Room was clean & tidy, free bottle of wine, slippers & dressing gowns were a luxury touch. The meals were excellent all served by freindly attentive staff, really cant fault it!

We stayed overnight on Saturday, 8th September 2018 on a dinner, bed and breakfast rate. The hotel was quaint, comfortable, clean, spacious and overall a nice, relaxing place to get away from it all. The food was delicious and the restaurant had a real homely feel to it. On arrival to our room, we received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch but on check-in, the Receptionist, Adam was extremely rude and had a ‘cannot be bothered attitude’ and this theme with Adam continued throughout our stay. He was, not only rude, but he was unhelpful and incompetent as he didn’t know any answers to any of our questions. The same cannot be said for the rest of the staff though as they were very helpful and friendly. As previously stated, the food is delicious but breakfast ends at 8:45am and on a Sunday especially, that’s a bit early and check-out’s at 10am which for the weekend we thought was also too early. I think breakfast ending at 10am and check-out at midday would be better for a Sunday. We asked Adam if we could check-out at midday and he said he’d have to charge us £70-£85 and to check-out at 11am he advised it’d be £30. However, I later found out this was not the case. It’s £10 an hour after 10am for your room. Overall, our stay was lovely and really good value for money but Adam did mar it a little unfortunately.

Stayed 2 nights a bit dated but cant fault the staff .. excellent .. food ok if you like frozen . On the whole great value

User

So enjoyed our stay, beautiful scenery, great view from our room, was bit disappointed with the menu the night we stayed, but if I'd asked they would have made something else for us, overall very good value for money, definitely visit again, so peaceful,

Ours was a 1 night DBB with a bottle of Prosseco in our room upon arrival through 5pm. Hotel is grand upon entry and is clean, warm and well laid out. Dinner was a bit dinner hall rather than restaurant. Starter was excellent, main was frozen battered fish (freshly battered frozen fish would be so much better). Dessert was Walls attempt at yellow vanilla ice cream. Drink prices were good but bar didn't open until 5pm when guests can check in from 2pm (missed opportunity). Breakfast was very good but does a Scottish Breakfast not have Tattie Scone, Black Pudding/Haggis? Toast should be available at start of breakfast when asking tea/coffee.

Mattress in room not the best nor the pillows.

Worth the money for the deal we got but cater for their coach tours and everybody else is is a room filler.

User

I got a itison deal and for the money I couldn't complain.the staff couldn't do enough.the place is a bit dated but it's clean and roomy.the dinner was very disapointing as it was all frozen food I had the fish and as there's fresh fish all around i just expected more.however we had no complaints as I had a bottle of wine and a lovely dressing gown.I was late for breakfast however it wasn't a problem to still serve us I would go again

User

Hotel was OK for the money we paid, was dissapointed that they wouldn't do dinner for us when we checked in at 6pm as they weren't taking any more reservations, on the plus side we had dinner at Tyndrum Inn and we would highly recommend.

User

Clean and tidy though being a Scottish Hotel was a bit disappointing that no one working here was Scottish as for the Scottish breakfast in the morning we were served an English breakfast as no square sausage, no tattie scone and no black pudding in sight. The drinks from the bar were awful the cola was flat and the wine undrinkable. Had a beautiful view from window however. No soap in rooms and the smell of Green (cannabis) was overpowering in the corridor as soon as you exited the lift.

User

The rooms are very dated, and very noisy. The mattress on the bed had gone so not a very good nights sleep. The staff could barely speak English and that's not because there Scottish in fact I didn't see one Scottish member off staff, and weren't very friendly. The food was disgusting I feed my dog better. For the price they charged for spending one night here they should have wore a mask because I feel robbed. So all in all didn't enjoy my stay but the location is lovely
