Ben Nevis Inn & Bunkhouse

Stopped off for something to eat on a wet evening in late October. Didn't have a reservation, but they managed to squeeze us in, which was lucky, booking is advisable. Nicely decored inside, with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was great too, especially the Cullen Skink. Well definately visit when next in the area and will certainly book ahead this time to make sure we get a seat.

The bar / food here is decent. The bunk house is acceptable however bring nose pegs as you will need to be comfortable with the smell of rotten feet from other people staying here. Expected near a hiking attraction I guess, otherwise perfect for Nevis.

Very good food, but extremely busy so expect a wait at the bar. Ensure that you book so you are not disappointed. A little off the beaten track.

Great cosy pub and simple accomodation. One bad thing though. They expect you to leave very day at 10 for cleaning purposes, whether you're checking out or not. Some days I just want to sleep in past 9!

The food at the bar upstairs is excellent, reasonably priced and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Basic sleeping bunks, toilets and showers available for hill walkers. Good for big groups the night before hiking 'The Ben'.

I spent the night here on my Land's End to John O'Groats + 3 Peaks adventure. There are 24 bunks in a shared space, which is fine if you don't mind slightly less privacy than usual. The kitchen and bathroom areas were great and the location was absolutely ideal for tackling Ben Nevis via the tourist path. Very friendly staff too. Thanks for having us!

A great quirky place situated on the start of the path to Benn Nevis. Excellent food, huge portions and great service. Gem is a find set in a stunning valley in the foothills of Benn Nevis

Cracking good food. We stopped in on our way through and wasn't disappointed. Great atmosphere, tasty food, local ales, and really friendly staff. Highly recommend!

What more do you need after a brisk walk up (and down) the Nevis... would advise staying in the bunkhouse as the ales glide down surprisingly well.

Excellent venue at the start/end of path up Ben Nevis. Great food and often live music, great for Sunday lunch or a few beers on a Friday night. Has a bunk house and a beer garden and even instruments hanging up you can pick up and play if you so desire.

Warm cozy place. Super friendly staff and guests. Awesome awesome home cooked food. Great views of Ben Nevis.

The Inn as it sais is set slap bang at the foot of Ben Nevis so after a day's walking on the fells it's a welcome site. I didn't stay in the bunk house but just down the road so I only ate and drank there on a couple of occasions, both of which were excellent. There's a stair well in with disabled access into there's a large seating area with tables and benches. Up a flight of stairs there's another similar seating area with comfy leather chairs at the very back. The bar had an adequate selection of alcohol some local brews and spirits too. The menu was limited in the choices but first class dishes and good portions. It just ment you spent less time deciding what to order. Great atmosphere especially when the live music was on but it can get a little noisy. Don't expect a quiet candle lite dinner, there's dinner and candles just not quiet. Always (and I can't stress this enough) always phone ahead to book for food it does get busy but it'll be worth it!
