Looks beautiful from the outside but won't recommend staying here. The inside is not great.

Whilst this isn't the same five star rating I would give the Ritz, the place was superb value for money, really characterful and felt like a lovely trip. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the rooms spacious and whilst not everything was perfect ( don't plan on a power shower!) It has a beautiful slightly faded grandeur which brought images of balls and women in crinolines to mind. At 75£ a night for dinner, breakfast and bed (with a bottle of wine thrown in the first night) I will definitely go back, if only to work my way further through their superb whisky collection.

Dated , you would think when you pull up what a wonderful place but it definitely needs to be updated

Loved this place.... its a grand old hotel built in 1877... large and well kept... beautiful setting.... u need to stay here

An aged structure in which you can recognize Hercules Poirot in the Living room.
So. The room is not so big but nice sleep.
The breakfast is good.

Nice structure, aged but it still has character. The Bathroom is big as is bed and bedroom. From my room I had a nice view. The TV was an old analogical one, but doing the job. The blinders worked well. The negative side is that noise was coming from corridor and water pipes in the bathroom, nothing extremely annoying but to be considered. I had dinner their and it was good. My vote of four is in relation to the above and the price. High season one night and dinner for two at £123.60.

North of Inverness, about 20min by car far from it. In a very small village with few shops almost all closed on Mondays, including the tourist information point. The room I had was large and with a nice view. The style and furniture is old and full of dust, maybe due to the presence of the carpet everywhere. The service is not exceptional, but in the average. It looked to me the structure of the hotel could give the possibility to have an higher level of service.

Stunning views, fantastic staff, great for hill walking.
