Fantastic hotel in a lovely town. Food great and staff very friendly
Very helpful staff but the hotel itself feels run down. First superior room we had had noisy water tank above so we were moved, but shower in second superior or premium room was weak, not very hot and took AGES to even get to that. So not terrible, but not quite what we hoped for. We'd not 'not go back', but neither will we be trying to head back. But full marks to the staff...although being told any kind of tea other than regular tea would be charged for was a surprise...and turned out not to be correct and so my wife was able to have green tea :-)
My husband and I were in Moffat for the World Gold Panning Championships 2017 and stayed for over a week at the Best Western Moffat House Hotel.. The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of town. The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed! If we are ever in Moffat again we would definitely stay at the Best Western Moffat House hotel!

Asked for the soup of the day was not told it was a fish soup had I known would not have ordered it fortunately I do not have a fish allergy just don't like fish and no one thought to ask why it was returned untouched (Tho did enjoy the main course steak pie) apart from that found the staff to be friendly and polite and the view from the dinning area was lovely
I am travelling solo on motorcycle, they don't have secure parking but they have a carpark set back off high Street with Cctv. Single room is as expected reasonable prices however breakfast is extra. The view from the room is overlooking a beautiful garden which is a lovely touch. Bar area is nice with selection of beers and wine and has a restaurant. Staff are really friendly and helpful.
Overall a enjoyable stay would book again excellent value
Rooms were cozy but dated. Food was ok. Tad on the expensive side for what it is
Hotel is fine but wifi signal strength is poor
