Beverley Dott - Fair City Knits Description
I am a designer living in The Fair City of Perth, Scotland. I love to work with colour and particularly like to knit Fair Isle and stranded projects. I can be inspired by the colours of an object, the scenery around me or manhole covers in the pavement, quite literally anything. I am delighted to have won the Jamieson and Smith Winter KAL two years running. I find knitting to be a very soothing and therapeutic pastime and knit every day.

So this big pile of blue is a new sweater design by me. It will be launched on 8th September, which just happens to be the same day as Perth Festival of Yarn 😊 The new design will be called "Tay" and uses two colours of #rustyferret Doll Fingering from @fluphshop in Dundee who also just happens to be a vendor at @perthfestivalofyarn .... I've been having a tinker with some @rustyferretyarn from @fluphshop. This is a tension swatch knitted in the round on 2.75mm needles. 28sts x 38rows = 10cm. I steeked it to see if it would work and it did. I secured it with some 2ply Shetland double crochet at the edges. Damn. Might have to make a cardy for myself soon. It has a lovely drape too...
