Big Bird Nursery is a family run child care setting located in Whitburn town centre. We have been operating since 1997 and have a sister nursery in Larkhall, South Lanarkshire. Recently extended and refurbished, we are a state of the art, fully equipped nursery with an unsurpassed reputation in West Lothian as our recent inspection confirms. You can be rest assured we will provide your child with a happy, loving, secure and stimulating environment in which every child progresses and develops through the various stages of their early years.

Our aim is to provide home from home surroundings where everyone is valued, respected and supported. We continually strive towards the development of an idyllic environment in which all children are provided with the necessary support, time and space which enables children to grow and develop their self-confidence, esteem and enjoyment of life. This is successfully delivered by our highly professional team, who apart from providing what you as a parent would expect i. e. high standards of care and education, are carefully selected for their ability to provide that extra level of care which sets us apart from other nurseries.

We also have a safe and secure outdoor area which includes investigation and planting areas, cosy dens, sand pits, large safe play areas and separate areas for different age groups.
