How are we all coping?
We understand at this difficult time, it may be hard for some to keep dogs occupied!!
... Mental enrichment is just as important as physical exercise. Mental enrichment is when a dog does certain activities which work the mind.
This is massively important to very active dogs, especially if they're spending more time inside!
There are plenty of activity toys on the market, whether they are puzzle toys or the very popular KONG classic dog toy.
A few toys to keep in mind -
1. KONG classic, a dog toy in which you can put dry food into, and the dog has to play with it to get the food out - if your dog is on a dry complete food, you can use this toy for feeding, in which the dog gets great satisfaction from earning their meal (very active breeds such as labradors, spaniels etc)
2. Puzzle toys - puzzle toys that you hide treats behind little windows and sliders, meaning the dog has to work their way through the puzzle to gain the treat.
There is many variations in the market available so you can see which toy would suit your dog best.
Dog anxiety - Dog anxiety levels may have lowered slightly due to having to stay at home more (happen your dog gets anxiety over you leaving), but what happens when you have to go back to work?
Dog anxiety can have a large impact on the quality of your dogs life, so I suggest that if your dog suffers from anxiety, have a little research and try some techniques, especially to prepare them for when the lockdown is lifted.
1 piece of equipment I find works very will is called - LICKIMAT - a silicone type pad with different lumps bumps and grooves, in which you apply a dog friendly flavoured paste, and allow the dog to sit and lick the pad. This simple idea was developed to keep dogs minds occupied, in order to lower the anxiety levels.
Let's keep our dogs sane and healthy throughout this pandemic too!

SELF ISOLATION - if you are finding the need to go into self isolation, and may struggle to look after your dog/s, please let us know!
... OTHER CARERS - if you are currently looking after somebody's dog whilst they're away or self isolating and finding it difficult, please get in touch and we'll help!
CANCELLATIONS - please speak up and let us know if you do longer require your booking, flights are being cancelled and the government are advising against unnecessary travel, ITS NOT YOUR FAULT, give us a message, a phone call or text message (details below) and we will help any way we can! All booking will be secure until you notify us, charges may apply to uncancelled bookings. For bookings into the summer and autumn, please hang fire unless you know your holiday is cancelled.
We truly hope you all stay well, and if you are truly finding this time difficult with your dog/s, please ring or message us, we can help, dont be embarrassed to ask for help!

Due to the outbreak, and the industry we are in, we ask that anybody travelling back from effected countries, have somebody else pick dogs up on their behalf. You will need to contract us with the name of the allocated person who will do this.
All bookings are still secure unless you have notified us ourselves.
... If you are unable to have somebody collect your dog/s, please notify us of this, and we will arrange a time with yourselves in which we can quarantine the dog/s, for easy accessible collection. In this case we ask that no cash or card payment be made, and we will send an email invoice or details for a bank transfer, minimising contact completely. (We will be aware of the collection)
We apologise for any inconvenience, but as you are aware, we also have elderly and vulnerable family members like everybody else.
